That is how COMC packs cards unless you add more toploaders when you check out on site. Did you buy these through eBay?

Toploaders usually cost extra I think. Not that I know from personal experience but guessing the extra time and cost of top loader would increase your cost. If the cards arrived safely and undamaged I’d call it a win.

I always just pay that extra quarter on cards I know need toploaders to not be worried. They sometimes include them randomly on cards. As long as my cards arrived undamaged, I have no issues with how they ship them.

Is COMC James up to scamming sellers now?

Holy Christ, they just pushed my due date back 21 more days. WTF are they doing? I wish they would put a hold on all new submissions until they get caught up, this is ridiculous now.

Same here on 4 different batches totaling about 5,000 cards. (original due dues were a month ago)

I suspect they will keep pushing back the dates, but hey yeah keep sending in cards...

Original due date 4/10 is almost done processing, they started to process my 3 week current year due 6/17 at the same time. Hard to believe.

(Also that basic that is almost done says it'll be finished 7/7, it might have 10 cards left. Those dates mean nothing)

It was through ebay, and I order from there often and haven't had that happen until this time

If you're buying fixed priced listings, you're wasting a TON of money buying directly on eBay rather than through COMC directly. So create a COMC account and you can select which cards you want to add to shipment at your own time schedule, instead of getting a lot of little packages and paying shipping over and over again. And then you can add toploaders to any cards that don't already come with them. So I just saved you hundreds. You're welcome.

For example: Seller on COMC lists their card at $100. It now costs $115 on eBay, because of their additional fees. Seller runs a sale on COMC of 70% off. Card now costs $30 on COMC.com and still costs $115 on eBay, since sale prices don't port over to eBay. Once you purchase it at $30, you can now leave it in storage (not for sale) for free for as long as you want. Once you have 50 or 100 cards and you want them sent to you, you can load them all into your shipment, select your delivery schedule (which currently sucks because of backlog and COVID), and add toploaders as needed.

All of my items that have due dates that have not passed yet are getting listed on time. All of my items that have due dates that have already passed keep getting pushed back.

If it's a Paypal request, it usually takes a few business days. If it's a request for a physical check, it sometimes takes a few weeks.

PayPal cashouts take right at 4 business days. Check cashouts take like 3 weeks for them to print and mail a check, then take however long the post office takes to get it to you.

I've seen significant numbers of items processed in the past few days. Of approximately 4,761 items which were due to be processed (8 batches, basic processing, original due dates between March 17 and April 28), all but about 380 have been processed. And that number might be lower since the quantities were estimated. Anyway, about 92% finished on those batches.

Of 3 batches with original due dates of April 28 to May 8, with approximately 3,600 items, 0 cards have been processed and the "due dates" have been pushed back to July 14 to July 21. These are items which were sent in after COMC changed their fee structure, but which are grandfathered in to the old system.

I mean, expect for the fact that for every batch I have sent in they have gotten them done on that date or a day earlier. So I’d say they most definitely mean something. It also means that in a week they managed to get three weeks further behind. So that’s impressive.

It mattered when they gave compensation for missing dates. Now that they will not give any discounts they could make it tomorrow and just move it one day at a time. It doesn't matter anymore. My dates also got moved but it is funny that the submission that was due in May has a projected date that is earlier than the submission that was due in April...by almost a month. Both are basic subs.

Is anybody here a little bit concerned about our cards being only 15 minutes away from the unrest in Seattle ?

What unrest? Nothing here but community gardens and free, open spaces.

Not really. Turn off the news, its not that serious. Yet.

They moved back the date for weeks on a batch they had already completed for me. They have moved back another by a month despite actively processing cards and having only a few left. The dates don't mean anything.

Once they take your batch from 5% to 20%, you can expect cards to start listing in about 7 days. That's what I've noticed. I ignore the due date now, it means nothing.

And anyone that sent cards in for the end of basic submissions, you should know those cards are gonna take a loooooooong time at this point.

And, how do you get 15 minutes? Have you ever driven anywhere in the greater Seattle area? It's nearly 30 minutes from the CHAZ/CHOP to COMC HQ, which is deep in the heart of Redmond - so deep that you're practically in unincorporated King County. Ain't no one protesting there...

My 150 card grandfathered basic submission update:

Original due date - 4/27/2020
Current due date - 6/1/2020
Current estimated date - 8/7/2020

My progress just updated for the first time from 5% to 10%. Coming up on 2 months late.. pretty crazy. Definitely won't be submitting with them any time soon.

Hey guys -- I just had a bunch of cards posted that were due back in April (also grandfathered basic). When I started pricing them, I noticed that they are all coming up "Item Stored Remotely"? Anyone else having this issue?

Read the last couple of pages. They are using multiple offsite locations to process cards during coronavirus shutdown rules to attempt to keep up. Cards will be moved to main warehouse in around a week.
