Isn't it? There's a lot about sports cards in the news, dads are getting back into (which drags in kids as well), and it's definitely more mainstream.

I remember being a kid and chasing product at stores and card shops where I grew up. The craze of '89 Upper Deck...looking for Shaq rookies...Rookie Sensations from Fleer Jumbos.

The production will catch up - already seems like it might be based on posted odds. Then the market floods, the flippers disappear, and I would assume prices settle. We'll see how many people stay in once mainstream life returns and they realize that not everything is made of gold. Hopefully we get some normalcy but without the crash.

I have the memory of an elephant. I still remember the phone call to my friend asking what 1986 Topps looks like.

Went by a Target and Walmart after work to see if there was anything left and no dice. Really wanted to rip something. Oh well. Hitting the flea market this weekend (only “card shops” in town) so I’m sure they’ll have something.

According to Alan, there’s somewhere around 125,000 cases...

I always prefer opening 60 packs as opposed to 288 packs.

Is the cloth card a f****** hit?! I got one auto of Franklyn Kilome, a Jack Flaherty 1986 relic /50, and an Ozzie Smith 1979 cloth... what is going on here?

They almost always give you a fake relic (if there is anything else) as one of the hits.

Unless it’s low numbered or auto’d, it’s junk.

So far both USPs have been father son cards. The Griffeys and Biggios. Who else should we expect to surface? Guerrero and Tatis? Bonds maybe? What other father son combos could we see?

I’m out.

I hope production catches up to a point it's always available on the shelves.

Kids should be allowed to open packs and ding corners while they're re-arranging them in their binders every week. Then in 30 years they'll come back with their kids and do it again.

I liked Kim Ng's story at the Rip Party about how she used to throw cards towards the wall with her friends - whoever's card landed closest to the wall got to keep both cards. I shuddered at the thought of doing that now... then I was mad at myself for shuddering. It should be fun!

2021 Series 1 might be a good set to bring back that game with my kids.

Thanks. I was thinking the same thing. Someone has a gold listed for $500 (not that its going to sell for that).

Anyone with any thoughts on how much I can get for the Madrigal black parallel RC #/70

Took the team formerly known as the Indians in a jumbo case break today and got the Hand 1/1 platinum. My first (non printing plate) 1/1.

Oh the beauty of patience. They're printing too many. These will be available. Widely.
