I have 125 paper....and that's not counting Chrome, Mega's and Color. Think I went a little heavy on the old paper product. I also have 150 paper Biggio's.

Won a 2020 Topps Series 1 rainbow foil for $22 and added another vintage stock for $160 ($115 less than my first one, dollar cost averaging haha). I feel like the downside at these prices is just so little. Hopefully I can pick up some more cool cards before the season starts.

The rainbow foil seems to be an odd card to track.

Auction sale of $22, $26, then some selling for $30+. I bought mine at $30(although still waiting on it).

Just went ahead and purchased a gold tonight as well. Once everything gets in, should have a nice little stash of his.

I'm still concerned about the condition of the foil cards of this year.

Have yet to see a foil on ebay w/o chipping. Would love one but I opted for numbered gold and stats instead

I have held probably 20 of the Alvarez gold foils and 100% of them have chipping on the bottom and 40% also have chipping on the left side. Bichette has chipping issues on the bottom as well, but not as bad. Lux seems to be okay. My guess it is a manufacturing issue having to do with where the card was on the sheet.

If I see a Yordan gold foil without chipping on the bottom, I am going to wonder if it is trimmed. I am curious about how PSA will treat this if every Yordan has the same issue. You cannot feel any difference, but you can definitely see it.

The Yordan Rainbow foils have a similar issue, but it is not as bad as it is with the gold foil.

If it is a factory issue they won’t care. Mahomes Prizm has that factory dimple and that still gets a PSA 10. I think it’s dumb, but that’s how it is.

Yep, I have the same issue on the two I have. They are off this week through Jewcer's PSA submission and don't expect them to gem but who knows at this point.

I thought it was pulled, not sold?

I imagine he got a deal off ebay for it. I had it on my watch list because i was curious about it.

And I really am curious how the grading on these foils will be. They all have chipping somewhat from what I can tell.

I don't think Alonso will ever hit higher than like .275 in MLB. His career ceiling is Giancarlo Stanton -- which is a huge compliment!!! -- but Alvarez is already a fairly complete hitter whose career ceiling is potentially David Ortiz.

Easiest to just look at the numbers and go from there. Here's a 650-PA average of Alonso's 2018 and 2019 (one year in the minors, one in the majors), and Alvarez's 2019 (half year in the minors, half in the majors).

Alonso - 551 AB, 100 R, 46 HR, 123 RBI, 76 BB, 160 K, .271/.375/.581
Alvarez - 550 AB, 113 R, 52 HR, 156 RBI, 94 BB, 150 K, .325/.424/.690

One of those is amazing. The other is ... other-worldly.

The new heritage trophy rookie cards seems a bit over priced currently at $125+

Can get PSA 10 Devers heritage rookie for $50 less. I am big on Alvarez (gold and stats) and think he is the real deal but I am not aware of this being a SP.

Is it?

Oh. Well still ungraded at the price I will take the PSA 10 action Devers rookie for $50 less and for $25 more take the PSA 10 bellinger action. Again, just my opinion this seems high for a raw card. Its more than the flagship gold.

I Agree I am a fan of the action rookies thus I have the Devers and Bellinger rcs noted above but I have yet to see the action priced higher than the flagship gold for any of the hobby’s current favorites. Makes the Alvarez gold look like a bargain and the stats even more so

Pretty sure it went for $900 or $950. Can’t remember what i saw it settle at on 130point (which is not working any more at the moment). I offered $850 and apparently is wasn’t good enough. Checked after and it went for $900 or $950. Eh? Whatever.

Anyone else having issues with 130point? Did eBay just make an update today to totally F up ability to see best offer accepted? If so, I am painfully about to say F it to eBay. It is officially ridiculous that we cannot see best offer any more (if they actually applied an update to correct this).
