What do you guys think Man in the Arena is going to do to his rookie cards? Comes out soon! How big of a jump do you think we’ll see compared to now?

I have an old label too, graded in 2004.. gen 2, I think? Yours might be gen 1.
Ive always been curious if the old labels carry a premium.

What’s with “spalding_fasteners” on EBay? Look at their listings of Brady rookie cards. Tons have the 4 sharp corners logo, why would that be? As well as that “razor sharp” bowman chrome refractor is also listed by them (Spalding). Wasn’t that from Probstein? Has the same title

I then noticed 4 sharp corners has their own listings with their logo ofcourse, anyone else confused? Why would the 4 sharp corners logo be on a different seller?

What do you guys reasonably expect his prices to be the day he retires? Man in the Arena comes out soon, Bucs schedule is easy, great chance of at least being in the Super Bowl, imagine if they win it again? As well as Brady is back next season. Despite being tempted to sell, won’t prices be even more insane in just a few years? Or even less?

I think a lot still has room to grow because it was so low relative to other stars and people are now collecting him more and realizing how low his pops are on key rookies in gem, and on card autos and patches. Refractors too, but those have started to take off this year, so who knows how high they can continue, but most are low pop too.

Early serial numbered parallels just (finally) started seeing movement in just the last year or, at MOST 2. There's still massive upside in just that type of stuff. Hell, football has been overlooked for so long, people don't even know what's out there until they really start looking. Hardly anyone cared about parallels from the early 2000's in football. Brady stuff was in boxes, open to damage or, at best, in sleeves and dollar boxes. Perhaps an extreme few cared and, now, prices will reflect that - as anything that's early and rare and serial numbered is very difficult to find, let alone in a high grade.

Movement on early serial happened this summer from everything I saw (and I have a pretty large collection and still adding and checking multiple times a day). It was May/June and I was still grabbing /100 for $16. Which btw was a 100% increase from what I was buying a year earlier. Now they are in the $40-50 range which is still crazy low IMO.

But really, stay away for another year or so, there's still some I'm trying to find and add.

This Brady bull run is a massive correction in the market

It took him throwing his 600th and the young qbs showing that they're not immortal/invincible

People are (finally) starting to wake up

That said- IMO a lot of his refractors actually seem overpriced for what they are getting/what they could get

Looking at the prices of guys like Josh Allen, Joe Burrows, or even Jalen Hurts and
I'm left thinking Brady's Rookie cards have lots of room to grow.

I’m definitely a huge fan of his serial #’d rookies! They seem like an amazing long term hold. Heck there will probably be a huge increase even later this year. Man in the Arena and the Bucs easy schedule. Playoff time last year his rookies went insane. They were actually somewhat cheap most of 2020 compared to now.

Lowest rookie #’d card I have is a pacific paramount Holo silver 27/85. Beckett 8.5

Has anybody seen these rankings of Brady rookies by Beckett? It appears to be a couple years old from looking at the comments, but I thought they were interesting. I'm big on the upper deck graded rookie, and I had no idea 855 of those copies were pre graded by SGC and placed into packs, but I guess it makes sense now lol. Also, didn't know the Black Diamond rookie had a print run of 2400 as they aren't numbered, which is still pretty sp. Also, the Bowman rookie appears to be going up quite a bit yet is #22 on that list, so it would probably be top 15 currently.

Yep - I looked at that 5 or 6 years ago when I was buying his rookies. Unfortunately it doesn't take into account what collectors like which is why Bowman is so low. People like NFL uniforms.

No idea how Contenders Round Numbers is not on the list. He is in a Patriots Uniform and it is signed.

Should be #2 on the list.

I think because it is an insert, certainly one of my favorites.

I think it’s more because he’s sharing it (and playing second fiddle) to Marc Bulger on it. Scarce or not, it is the last card on my want list.

Aesthetically it is as nice as any really.

Combo of being an insert and sharing card are likely reasons it is not as valued.

Although it is not like Bulger was a slouch. A LOT worse QBs have come through the league. Also it is signed. How many auto rookies does he have?

Nah, because other cards would be on there like Score Auto and Autographics
