Well if not for Bader it would be 6-4 Rays but if Schmidt doesn’t get out of it it really doesn’t matter. Bringing in Abreu this could go either way.

No if our borderline pitchers can’t take advantage of Baders great play they get what they deserve. I don’t see a comeback today so settling for a split which we pretty much figured was going to happen with Schmidt starting today.

8 runs game 1 Yankees loss

5 runs game 2 Yankees win

8 runs game 3 Yankees win

8 runs and counting today, Eventually the bats can’t bail them out every game. They need a couple of good pitching performances by the starters to get back on track.

It doesn’t get any easier as they play Toronto next who I consider a better hitting team than the Rays.

Or if the 3-2 pitch was called a strike instead of a ball the inning ends 4-4 and it’s a completely different game.
