Something's wrong with Deni. He plays good defense, but his shooting so far is horrific.

Keep in mind the Blazers are in the Flagg/Bailey sweepstakes so maybe that's playing into it.

FVV-Green-Eason-Giannis-Sengun is a nice starting 5.

Bucks get two nice spects in Reed and Jabari, plus 3 1sts. Brooks and Adams are to match salaries but should also be flippable, especially Adams' since it's cheap and expiring. Bucks get to enter the Flagg sweepstakes. That Phx '27 is unprotected too, it should be quite valuable considering KD's age.

As much as I want to see how Reed pans out and have faith in Jabari developing more as a defender... this would be pretty awesome

3 1sts and 2 good/great prospects, with 1 of the picks being a possible unprotected gem feels like a big haul. I guess it depends what an individual thinks of Smith/Sheppard though. I like them both, both should at the least be solid and have upside if they develop further.

Jabari looks like a good, cheap role player, Sheppard is unknown but in a normal draft would have been a late lottery pick, only one of those picks look like a lottery one...

Trading a top 5 player (at worst) when he's still on his prime for a package like this should be a fireable offense. Rockets would need to include at least two of Amen/Cam/Eason and take on more salaries IMO

Giannis will be 30 before the trade deadline. You think adding one of Amen/Cam/Tari gets it done? Not a big deal for Houston and not much different from what I proposed.

That's a good comparison. I might be biased but here's how I see it:

- AD got traded the year after he got injured and missed the playoffs. A year earlier and the story would have been different. Next 5 years, he made 3 ASG, 2 All-NBA and no Top 5 MVP votes. I think teams would expect more from Giannis.

- I think that Ingram was actually the best prospect of that bunch. After that, I would have gone Lonzo, Sheppard, Jabari and Hart.

- Pels got a #4 pick, another top 10 pick and another pick that should be in the mid teens. Bucks picks won't get close to that.

- I think adding two of the Amen/Eason/Cam group gets it done, I don't think one should be enough.

- With the cap exploding, I think the prices for superstars have gone up too. I don't think 2019 AD gets traded for the same package in 2024.

It's good that the bet hit, but single game fg% samples don't influence the lines you see at the books. That was the public moving the line upwards.

If MIL is looking to blow it up, OKC still has the most assets and he *should fit in seamlessly.

Dort / Joe / Wiggins / Dieng works from a salary standpoint (in December once the newly signed contracts are eligible), and they still have a boatload of picks they can trade. Or you can swap Hartenstein for Dort + Joe or whatever combination to give Milwaukee a core of young playable guys who are still tradeable pieces if they want to move them for more picks.

Shai / Jdub / AC / Giannis / Chet, with Cason and iHart off the bench, or Shai / Jdub / Dort / Giannis / Chet with Cason / AC / Wiggins would project as favorites, or at least even with Boston, no?

There is a 0% chance that Milwaukee is gonna take a bunch of late 1st round picks from a team that they just made into a dynasty and not get any good players back. You're just throwing a bunch of random role players into this deal to make the money work.

At minimum MIL is asking for JDub.

The deal just would never work because the Bucks aren't gonna give Giannis away for free and only get a bunch of late 1sts back

Yeah. They'll probably ask for JDub + Chet but might settle for one of them.

It'll have to be something like JDub+Hartenstein+Joe+Wiggins+Wallace for Giannis+Portis+filler.

From OKC perspective Chet is probably untouchable in that sense. JDub and SGA have somewhat overlapping skill sets and you can find other guard floor spacers for Giannis.

Despite all that I am not fazed. Both games tied with a minute left. Indy could be 1-7 and I would still hold firm on 40+ wins.

Latest ridiculous proposition by the Sporting News is Nembhard to Spurs for Zach Collins and a 2026 first-round pick, with Nesmith "salary filler."

No I get it, it’s wishful thinking but *technically works. I mean you would have thought Presti would have had to pay to get rid of Giddey but he was able to get rid of him while getting a perfect replacement in Caruso without giving up any draft capital. That said, the Rockets deal Daeve proposed was equally bad unless you think Jabari or Reed Sheppard are future all stars and not just complementary players. At least the OKC guys could be moved to contenders for more draft picks, on top of the picks they’d give. With the Houston package, you’re basically doing a soft reset where you have this year and next to decide whether Jabari is a guy you’re building around or not.

If trading Giannis was a possibility, I don't know how anyone can get beat the Thunder to it. They have the best possible package and the highest possible ceiling with him.
