If it's just picks, that would be amazing. I doubt it though, there has to be a few players like Sexton right? That's crazy, didn't even know Cleveland was in the running for Mitchell.

I’m curious how Cavs fans feel about the trade.

From an outside perspective, seems weird…unless the Cavs plan to trade Mitchell elsewhere.

This is one of the worst trades I’ve ever seen

Why does it seem weird?

They kept their 3 best players and acquired the best asset of the deal… so…

I’m not a huge Mitchell guy

But Garland/Mitchell/Okoro/Mobley/Allen

Yes please

From a laymen's perspective, I like it. Kept your core players together and got a better starter. Sexton was probably gone anyways so no loss there. Draft picks always seem like hot potato in that teams love to pass them around. Garland/Mitchell/Okoro/Mobley/Allen seems like a fantastic lineup with Cedi/Love/Rubio/LeVert coming off the bench.

Draft picks are irreverent when you are as young as the Cavs. Only so much room

Don’t like Okoro? Start LeVert at the 3

Love and Okoro on the bench

This starting 7-8 is insanely good

LeBron take notice (kidding)

I think it's a great trade - Lauri/Sexton are both very flawed prospects. It's essentially Ochai plus picks for a player that's 25/5/5.

Cavs fan here.... Love the trade

Cavs with 4 all star level guys all under team control, all in similar age ranges.

Seems like a slam dunk for the Cavs. That’s a contender with Mitchell

Mitchell could be the 3rd best player on the team

How he handles that? No clue

But that’s reality

You can’t say that isn’t a big deal

Great day for Cleveland. First we get the National back in 2024 and now this. And it's Friday-eve, amazing!

On thing we missed last year was a legit 3 pt shooter....

Don puts up 10 a game. The floor just opened up a lot wider for Garland to operate the PnR with Allen and Mobley

If Mitchell is the 3rd best player on this team they’re contenders for the next 4 years easily.

Don’t need Okoro to do anything but defend, Love/Levert/Rubio off the bench?

That’s a title squad.

Cavs 4peat!!!!!

Responding to both of you with the comment below:

Definitely great that the Cavs kept their 3 best players (Garland, Mobley, Allen). I also agree that the Cav's new lineup is good but it's weird to see 2 ball-dominant guards in the same starting line. I'd actually be interested to see one (probably D Mitchell) coming off the bench as the 6th man, although I know it won't happen.

I guess it's an interesting move to me because both Garland/Mitchell are small guards. I haven't seen enough of Garland to know how good he is defensively but I can't remember Mitchell being a good defensive player (albeit small sample size).

I thought the Mitchell rumors were crap… I wasn’t giving up Allen

For this package?

Bring him to Cleveland immediately

What was Sexton? A more ball dominant guard than Mitchell

So…

So now CLE gets to be the Team/Fans that wildly overrate Mitchell!

But we aren’t

He’s the 3rd best player on the team

You won’t convince me otherwise

The Central is just brutal at the moment.

Milwaukee
Cleveland
Chicago
Indiana
Detroit

We could reasonably see the Eastern Conference champion from this division for multiple years in a row.

But I didn't say the Cavs regressed, I agree with you that the Cavs improved.

It's just an interesting trade because I don't think it's enough to get the job done. To me, it's like inserting another piece, that doesn't fit, into a puzzle.

But who knows, if it does the job, I'll bow down to ya'll CLE fans lol. In any case, the Cavs are a better team today than yesterday, and it'll be a more exciting NBA season.
