Is Suga show completely over after losing the rematch at 316 this past weekend?

Or is Merab too good (for now), and O'Malley will just become a fun top 10 striker fighter who won't be champ again for awhile / ever? In the vein of Rampage, Cowboy, Guida, etc.

Sean was probably UFC's top draw (as Conor teases but doesn't actually fight anymore), but he probably can't do a champ fight again soon.
Jon Jones vs Aspinall might not happen.
Islam, Merab, and some champs right now are fairly Zzzzzzzz.
Womens UFC? Lmao.

In what world was Clay Guida a striker lmao. He was almost exclusively a wrestler with terrible striking. I love your continual terrible takes!!!

Dana White says Jon Jones has retired and Tom Aspinall is officially the heavyweight champion.

Jamahal Hill looked terrible. That's 3 losses in a row.

which coincides with Jon Jones facing yet another criminal charge.

he's a disgrace - drugs, cheating and his abhorrent behaviour aside, for selfishly holding up the division and robbing Aspinall of a few years of his prime.

good riddance.

Yeah, this was a foregone conclusion, unfortunately...

Jon Jones thinks Aspinall is a d-bag (which he is) and didn't ever want to fight him or help him get money/attention. GOAT said this repeatedly well before the Stipe fight... and after.

I think Jones would've fought Ngannou or others, but he said all along he wouldn't fight Aspinall. UFC pushed him to do that Aspinall fight or nothing, so he took retirement.

Yeah, he's basically the Ray Lewis of MMA... but a darn good fighter.

It's not like he killed anyone like some MMA fighers have - but drunk and substance driving easily can.

Probably the least noteworthy champion of all-time…besides Nicco Montano.

Jon Jones is the very last person on earth to call someone else out for being a douchebag.

He avoided him because he knew he'd lose. Simple as.

I refuse to believe the greatest fighter of all-time who’s never legitimately lost was certain he’d lose to…Tom Aspinall.

Aspinall's not bad, but Jones wasn't afraid of him.

Jon said again and again before and after he defended the heavyweight belt that he simply doesn't like Aspinall, finds him annoying, wouldn't give Tom that spotlight. That's his choice.

Tom Aspinall vs ___ = depends who ___ is

...Jones wins here. He can stay retired if he wants, he can handle his legal stuff (probably a factor in the retirement?), and then he can un-retire to fight Pereira or Ngannou or whoever he wants in another promotion. Aspinall is no big deal to him. He could probably circle back to UFC and do that fight also if his legal goes well and Aspinall is still champ. Again, Jones wins here.

I have the poster from his UFC debut which is signed by every fighter on the card. Tom Aspinall and Dricus du Plessis also happened to be on the card. Would love to be able to gauge the value of that right now haha.

I love those, I’m stupid and stick to cards but have wanted a bunch I’ve seen. I think ones like yours if these guys don’t crash out will definitely have nice value. There will also always be a market period imo of people who attended the event, if I was a kid and that was my first UFC or something I’d prob want that poster when I grow up and have income lol

Yeah they’re awesome except the majority for sale on the UFC’s website are priced way higher than they should be when compared to what they’d go for on eBay. I have around 50 or so. I love that they’re authenticated by the UFC with the hologram on them although I don’t really like that they recently upped the print run to 140 copies. I actually have three that are signed by Topuria:

-Marlon Moraes vs. Cory Sandhagen
-Alexander Volkov vs. Tom Aspinall
-UFC 282

Boring main event last night! It’s those kinds of fights that I’m thankful for being able to watch for free now and in the future.

I'm still learning how to watch/what to look for with MMA.

The main event wasn't a street brawl, but I think it was pretty impressive to see Khamzat pretty much own the reigning champion. And the announcers were in awe of how good Khamzat controlled the fight.

Also good hearing them explain how he wouldn't let up on DDP by leaning on him and pushing him forward whenever he tried to get up.

Some of these grapplers seem very difficult to beat because they close ranks on you so quickly. How are you supposed to keep them at bay? Doesn't seem like you can jab or kick them forever.

Well there’s a lot of people with better grappling in the Middleweight division than du Plessis for one. Allen, Borralho, De Ridder, Hernandez, etc. Go back a couple of fights and Khamzat would’ve lost to Kamaru Usman if it were 5 Rounds. Usman took that fight on a week’s notice as well.

How much trouble is Rampage’s son in? That looked pretty bad.
