And personally, I'm not shocked by this. As long as I've been a part of this thread it's been my position that significant Tom Brady Gold cards were some of the best buys in the hobby. I'd say that's been proven true.

No one is saying you can't post, but there's literally a thread for it, so why not just take it there other than the fact there's less eyes? Maybe because it's literally your agenda to push that stuff as comparable to RCs because you own it? Crazy. And then all the other owners of such cards jump in the thread after being name dropped, weird. Pumpers going to pump, but at least do it in the right thread. I'm not saying don't pump, no one is going to stop you, just put it in the right spot is all I'm saying.

I've been discussing Golds and other non rookies for far longer in this thread than that other thread.

I did post there and there wasn't much conversation. This is the main Brady thread and if posting about what I like to post about gets the most conversation here, then I'm going to post here.

The season starts in less than a week. Imagine if I started a "Tom Brady Playing Thread" and tried to shut down any talk of Brady's football performance in this thread. That's what you are trying to do here. If you don't like it, that's fine, just ignore it the say way I choose to ignore that one guy trying to convince us his PSA 6 Champ Ticket is better than BGS 8s.

Beat it pal I will put my PSA 6.5 up against any BGS 8/8.5. Not saying I will win but I can hang. There’s a reason 90% are graded by BGS they’re just easier on grading. That BGS 7.5 had horrible eye appeal nasty refractor line down the length of the card. Now run along.

I agree with Hellcat.

The best BGS champ ticket couldn’t cross to a PSA 9 three years ago. There’s a good 2+ grade difference today on high-end, highly condition sensitive cards.

I believe mine vey well could cross to a PSA 9 if they were to judge it fairly.

I just took a look at it. I could see it getting a PSA 8 if judged fairly. Bit too much white going into the edges on the back bottom left combined with other corners to get a 9 IMHO. Grading is subjective though, depending on who is grading it and who is submitting it anything is possible. Definitely one of the nicer copies out there.

I would say the grade difference would be 0.5 to 1 in the past up until 2 years ago and PSA has stopped grading champ tickets recently. We all know PSA is strict on corners/edges. For example, a BGS 8 champ ticket with a corner subgrade of 7.5 is most likely a PSA 7 or 7.5. Keep in mind many of the Champ tickets in PSA slab do not have their autograph graded and these autos are known to be streaky. A PSA 7 with an auto of 10 will likely fetch a price more than BGS 7.5/10 and less than a BGS 8/10 at an auction imo. A PSA 6.5 with Auto 9 will likely fetch the same price or slightly more than a BGS 7.5 with Auto 9 at an auction imo. The auto grade also matters on this card.

EDIT: The premium difference between low grade and high copies is also significant on a card like this. The ultra rich collectors want the best of the best! Most of these collectors are buying the grade and not the card and are not doing the PSA to BGS grade conversions imo.

It’s an elite eye appeal copy, no doubt. But you can’t honestly believe it would cross to a 9 with the wear on the left edge and left front corners.

- bowman chrome
- leaf rookies & stars
- contenders
- sp authentic
- leaf limited edition
- playoff momentum
- fleer showcase

But that can’t be right....is seven correct and, if so, what are the right 7?

hello Tom Brady experts! Please help with this if you can!

I know in the past we've talked about the 2000 football products and which ones were the easiest to pull a Brady rookie, but I want to update it.


PLEASE HELP with this and feel free to add to it. I have included products I am familiar with and have personally busted or spoken with someone who has. I've watched You tube, but there are surprisingly few videos on 2000 nfl wax.


Boxes I have good knowledge of Brady pulls/potential
Bowman: usually 1 per box
Bowman chrome: 1 every other box
Press pass: 2-3 per, auto every 5-6 boxes
skybox impact: 2 per box
victory: 1 per box
metal: 1 every other box?
black diamond: 1 every 6 boxes?



I know onepocket has good experience in busting 2000 nfl wax and hopefully he will chime in.

If anyone else here has any recollection or first hand knowledge, thank you!
