These are still priced way too low. It takes just over 3 boxes to get a complete set and the value of a base set alone is conservatively $1500+. Add in parallels, image variations, and what could be possibly 2x those conservative values and we are talking some serious money in these boxes.

Stuff was just exponentially increasing before Memorial day and prices just seemed crazy for many of the cards, it didn't matter the artist or player.

The thing that collectors outside of soccer don’t realize is that because of the small checklists soccer boxes are a huge value compared to the other sports since you have a much better chance of getting the good cards. You very rarely get skunked on a box. Add that to the fact the print runs are so much lower older soccer is huge value if you believe it’s a growing market.

Correct; assuming the cards are blue atomic I would expect Fati or Haalands coming out at $750-$800 and in a 2 box allotment of 64 cards you should get at least one of them on average. The value is there for it to be a pretty reasonable break at $400 or so

I think that would be a bit high for raw once it settles in the short term. There were only roughly 4500 base Haaland in Bundesliga chrome and he was in the low 200’s before Chrome CL release. The only way this gets that much of a premium is if the baseball guys realize what a bargain soccer is right now and decides to get in before the WC hype starts but really soccer has much more than WC. American sports fans just don’t realize or care.

Not so fast my friend lol. Don’t forget shitty collation! Draft sapphire last year wasn’t that big of a set and I ripped a decent amount of boxes and look how many cards I still needed you to trade me

Looking at it from an expected value perspective, which collation doesn't affect. Collation just annoyingly affects the spread from that EV.

The funny thing about this statement is that Haaland won't be participating in the WC. His Norway couldn't even qualify for the Euros. Coming from a weak soccer country will probably end up holding back Haaland cards in the long-run for his investors.

FWIW, The first 2 boxes of TC UCL I ripped only contained 1 Haaland and 0 Fati.

It is not guaranteed that ripping 2 boxes of 32 cards would net Haaland or Fati. Likely? Yes. Sure thing? Hardly.

That being said, I will likely rip at least 2 boxes considering I bought in around $250 range.

Maybe they realized how much easier it is on their shipping department to increase the box limit per customer.
