Yep. Like glass mentioned. So many probably thought they were coupons and tossed them into a bag. That bag was moved multiple times as they walked around the convention... just dropped onto the floor when they entered the hotel room. Had more stuff thrown in on top of them as more stuff was handed out.

Or how many were just tossed into the trash. I know I've done that with coupons they have handed out at sporting events. So you see a card... 25% off on the back. Oh it's just a coupon... not interested in buying any baseball cards.

But you had 10 of the 20 bids and bid in $5 increments until it hit his $141... and made no attempt at the end. That's not the way you bid when you want to win a card so....

I bid the card the way I want...if I wanted to pay $200 for it I would have bid $200...I'm already sitting on a few but want more. So your logic is faulty. It got over $100 and I had a few beers so bid on it some more...trying to get it at what I thought was reasonable (hence the $5 bids), price. I was watching it at the end and actually thought about bidding some more 5 bids but thought twice, since I have several already I backed off...you have no idea what is going through my head via bidding. Sure I'd love to see the card go up in price, I've no idea what it's worth...to me $140 was just a little higher then I was willing to go. Someone else (or two others) were after that card at higher and bid on it in the end. So now you know my thought process when bidding on that card. Had I really wanted it and didn't have mine already i might have bid differently but most likely it would have been in low increments till I was at the top. Not the way you might do it or even the best way. The way you put it it's like I was just pushing the price up on purpose. Or shrinking for the guy who was selling...I don't know him and Just because 90% of the people you run into in this hobby are crooked doesn't mean I am and I resent the (suttel) accusation. Everyone knows mine are up more as show then actually for sale. I'm trying to figure out how many are out there...and if I can get them all at a lower price I'm going to do that.

Check out this #3 I got the other day.

Was going to return it to the seller as damaged, mostly because it came in a card saver with no penny sleeve. (Didn't have a topps sticker either). But decided to keep it due to the printing flaw. First I've seen printed this badly off centered.

Topps Now Kris Bryant World Series Champion Chicago Cubs Autograph | eBay

They are all dried up on Ebay except for one at $800 for the blue.

I took mine down and sent it to BGS for grading last week. It was too nice not to.

And then maybe sell at the start of the season and see how it goes

I bought this one Got lucky seeing the BIN seconds after listing. Also bought the unnumbered Schwarber and Baez from the same seller for $100 each. Decided I was going to try to do the set of WS autos. Going after the unserialized ones first and may eventually go for Blue /99.

It's been delivered but I'm traveling until Friday so will let you know how it looks once I get back!

you got an amazing snag there.. Grats on that. I would say at least double or maybe even triple your purchase price on the Bryant. You just will not see these on the market that often.

I know they won't be as popular with collectors because they aren't serialized, but doing the math and seeing how rare the unnumbered cards might be really reiterate that I wanted to make the set. It's for PC anyway, so not really worried about resale, but crazy that the rarer unnumbered cards will sell for less than green /199 in a lot of cases. And, I just like the way they look.

I'm going to try to trade or sell my numbered Heyman and Contreras WS autos to acquire the plain unnumbered versions.

Also I am just kicking myself on not buying more WS autograph sets...getting any of these cards at a decent price is proving a tad bit difficult. Actually going to have to edit my Top Topps Now cards to include these. I figured $100 for most not the craziness I see on eBay. More power to the heavy buyers of those sets as in the end they are real money makers.

I'm in the same boat as I didn't buy any of the auto WS sets figuring I could collect all of the autos on an individual basis for decent prices off of ebay. Prices are crazy now! I'm very jealous of everyone who went heavy into these and bought multiple sets. Interesting how you can get a lot of the regular season and playoff relic cards and auto cards for under what Topps sold them for (including Cubs cards) but these WS set autos are making a lot of people a lot of money!

I'm HOPEFUL the prices will come down, like the relics but since it's all Cubs, I don't see that happening any time soon. The Non-Winning relics don't surprise me but the Cubs ones do. I know I bid on just about all of them (fairly low), hoping to pick up a few more but typically get out bid in the end.
