Halftime thoughts:
1. Gutted for Hali, just gutted.
2. Turns out Foster’s crew is just as bad as Foster himself. Favorites included ref handing OKC the ball to inbound while Mathurin was tying his shoes, or TJ literally looking at the referee as Cason grabbed his wrist.
3. TJ isn’t a starting PG. Rooting for him, but the cross court passes to Caruso’s man are easy pick-6s, or when Hartenstein gets tangled up on the opposite baseline and they have a 5v4 advantage and TJ just dribbles it away until Hartenstein gets back into the action. Just hard to run a pass first system with a score first PG. Watching his minutes with the starters closely to start 2H.
4. Dort running into Mathurin running up the court and falling over to draw the foul is why I have progressed from OKC fan to OKC hater.
5. Need Mathurin to be perfect. And Turner to make his open looks.
6. Got a lot of push-back on this forum for predicting the Under. Ninja you might owe me a Team Fortness inventory.
7. OKC winning TO battle 4 to 11 but only winning FGA 42 to 38 is an Indiana win. 12 OKC assists to only 8 IND assists has to be the first +OKC assist total this series? That doesn’t bode well for the 2H though.
