A guy on talk radio said hey Packer fans remind your wife who hates Trump for his treatment of women, the new guy who just won the game for them may have something in common with him. Yikes.

Packers defense is for real. Only reason Houston was in this game was because of turnovers. Heard that if you are negative 3 in a game you have less then a 10% chance of winning the game.

CJ stroud only 86 yards in the game and sacked 4 times. Rating of 58.8. I thought today was going to be a high scoring game but the Green Bay D locked Stroud down.

Was talking with a buddy about this. All 3 win the wildcard round…you have an all NFCN final four. Would be the best thing to happen. Ever. In anything.

Cautiously optimistic. Their pass rush today was off the charts…I wonder if it was playing against a crap line…or maybe one that they just matched up well against. They caused trouble on nearly every drop back. After seeing Eric Wilson play considerable snaps…I hope Quay takes a long time to come back. He was making plays all over the place….

Truest post in the history of BO and it's not even close!

I think mathematically all four teams can't make it. Or at least you would a whole lot of things to fall just right. These teams will all start playing each other. The Bears have a month long run against the North. I expect in the end, they will be 2-4 or 1-5 in division games.

Even if the Bears go winless in the division, they can still mathematically finish 9-8, which is usually enough to at least be on the cusp of the playoffs based on tiebreakers.

Im not expecting 4 sacks per game and I believe only one was beyond more than a 3 yard loss. It’s about pressure and there was just enough to scratch a very nice division road win. I’ll take it.

Well that was disappointing haha kudos to the lions. Scrappy win on the road a week after you lost your best defender. Goff and the RB’s settled in and craved us up a little. No shame losing to a good team on a late FG.

I am disappointed in KOC though. It was kind of a sloppy game considering we were at home coming off the bye. I thought we would be much sharper. That illegal formation penalty on the play to stop the clock with 0:02 was disappointing as well. I would have loved to see Reichard attempt the 67-68 yarder for the win. I think the kid has the leg to do it! I also think it’s a different game with hock. We need someone to threaten the middle of the field, take the pressure off darnold a little and shift some of the safety coverage off JJ.

Congrats lions. You earned the W this week. Hopefully we stay one in Detroit at the end of the season

I thought your D played well considering not having Hutch. Two of the scores were the offence’s fault (the punt gaffe and the fumble recovery). Branch is a stud no doubt

It's possible but certainly difficult. Basically, whoever wins the North would have the be the #1 seed and the 3 other teams would have to get all 3 of the wild card spots. Each of the wild cards would face the other division champs and if the 3 wild cards win then it would be all 4 NFC North teams left in the playoffs. A lot has to go right for it to happen but it sure would be cool!

Right now, with so much of the season left to play, it's actually not that difficult.

If every NFC North team goes 3-3 in the division and wins the rest of their games, the worst record would be 12-5, which will almost certainly qualify for the playoffs.

The specific seeding necessary to guarantee the remaining 4 North teams are the only ones left in the NFC playoffs is more difficult to predict.

Doesn't the NFL have a rule (or used to have a rule) before where you can't play a divisional opponent in the 1st round. Or maybe that was MLB.

I don't believe they ever had a rule like that and I'm sure they don't have it now. As far as I know, it's always been purely based on rankings.

Yeah I think it was MLB where the wild card team couldn't play someone in their own division until the Divisional Round. But I believe they changed it when they went to the current 12 team format.

Hey jparsley, did you see the ending of the Lions/Vikings game? Did you watch Goff lead the Lions down the field for the winning score ? I know what Goff can do.Can you say that about Cryleb ? Time will tell.

Did you know 2024 Goff on the Lions would be this good 6 games into his 2016 season with the Rams?

Hi Broccoli Port! No I didn't see the ending, the Bears were off this week. Sorry that even on a bye Chicago occupied your mind so much so that you couldn't focus on the Lions game. Kind of amazing to be bragging about the last minute score to win when the Vikings erased your 11 point lead in the 4th quarter to begin with. Wishing you all the best during your troubling time.

Yeah, I remember one year where AD dragged us to the playoff beating Green Bay in the last game of the season but we lost Ponder and had to start Joe Webb at QB the first round against them. What a cursed year.

Saleh going to help the Packers as an advisor to ML. Will work with the offense giving a defensive view of what he thinks of the offense.

So long as egos are properly massaged and Hafley knows he's safe - this could be a master stroke for the Packers. The Packers just can't beat the 49ers, couldn't under Saleh, can't under Shanahan. I know the Niners just lost Aiyuk and are 3-4...but they'll become dangerous again when CMC and Greenlaw come back. Having Saleh around can only help against them should they meet in the playoffs. Can't also think that perhaps teaming up with LaFleur is likely MOSTLY to work with/help his friend, but also a big middle finger to Rodgers. 12 helped (made?) him get fired in NY, go to his old team and try and win a Super Bowl.
