Well damn, got a Topps chrome base refractor in the mail today and it’s cuts reallllll short.

Like can’t be in a one touch because it jostles around all 4 edges.

I bet a ton of raws are now either cards that didn’t grade gem, or you knew from the eyeball test it wouldn’t

PSA pop report has it at 150 so far. Pink at 1070. Prism 800. Base refractor 1690

I thought these were much more rare. Wonder why I thought like 75 or so. Do you know if they were increased dramatically for 2019?

You may be thinking of the flagship paper negative? Those are print run of 50

The chrome negative was 400 print run in ‘18 and 19... I didn’t do pack odds in ‘20, so perhaps different there

Whoa! Super nice card. The feeling of pulling a super is hard to match in breaking world. I always slow roll the hell out of it even though it's always just me looking..

i think it helps. it also helps that Topps Chrome priSm is a disliked/forgotten (as a whole) parallel

Why it seems to be the 3rd most valued refractor (not numbered) behind negative (ugly) and xfractor?

I don’t have a good set of numbers but they seem to be going for a solid chunk more than base and pink. Pop reports are definitely lighter in them too

Normally i would say go with the Pink, but with Pinks future up in the air (they SAID they are not making cellos in 2021, but topps is known to lie), that may hurt the appeal
