Pretty much every single hyped player in every sport was cheaper in year 2-3 than in year 1. I don't see Bedard being different

Definitely true for Topps sports products. I don't see the upper deck online retailers dropping their prices. Perhaps some desperate ebay sellers, will be interesting to see.

Will the Bedard young guns (just the standard young gun) be printed more than the McDavid young gun?
I can get a PSA 9 Mcdavid for less than a raw Bedard. To me thats insane, but I also dont know print runs

If a person really believes in Bedard and pulls or but gem like cards, grade and sell them. Save the money and when SPA comes out, grab a few. In the long run, only 3-4 Bedard RC cards will be embraced by the hobby

His point was every player drops from initial pricing. I already said injury changes things and that's the only reason ohtani dropped as evidenced by his resurgence as soon as he got healthy again. No one else other than ohtani would see card values increase after an injury like that.

I think it's going to depend on his performance next year. He will need to put up McDavid type numbers at the prices currently baked in

What most are forgetting about the sets is they too have short print parallels and the potential to hit something the UD2 does not offer, an autograph chance. The set have blues
Golds /349
Reds /75
Greens /5 or 9
Black 1/1

And autos including a black 1/1

Yes the Young Gun is the big RC, apparently a case hit because they have avg 1 per case. Since that is the case, they don’t appear to be print at the same ratio as the others like normally.

You guys are both right lol...YG's average roughly 1.5 per case. 12 boxes x 6 YG per box / 50YG = 1.5 per case. Has always been that way forever.

Like 5 posts ago you said the only RCs that matter are YG, SPA, The Cup. Now talking about how great the Rookie Box Set is? Literally the least important "RC" Bedard will ever have?
