I’m surprised at the lack of red anything so far. Obviously red is always tough but no chrome color and I don’t think any red paper either so far, unless I missed something.

There have been a couple red autos (including James Wood) and a red lava auto. But yeah, not much.

Two red autos in 50 cases feels about right from my historical perspective.

Double the print run and double the reds, feels like we're on track still. No red chrome with 20+ cases to go isn't cause for alarm.

It takes a humongous sample size to see the odds on rare hits play out.

RE: Red Chromes non-autos (and really any chrome parallel that isn't exclusive to a SKU)...

Odds are tough. Hobby are 1:48 cases for Red (and same for red lava). For Jumbo it's 1:45. 60% of the total volume of red/red lava (and the others that aren't exclusive) are in retail SKUs.

For autos it should be 1 red in 44 cases of Hobby and 21 cases of Jumbo (same for lavas, too).

So in 100 cases 50/50 the expectations would be...

Red Chrome non-auto - 2.15
Red Lava Chrome non-auto - 2.15

Red Chrome Auto - 3.4
Red Lava Chrome Auto - 3.4

Looking at the players that are running short on Auto's, many are short only on the base, while hitting similar numbers of numbered autos as others. It almost seems like the base autos for some of these players are just what is "rare". Looking at my Darren Baker spot, I am at 4 autos only, no base, but a refractor, speckle, Purple and Blue. Inline with many other spots for their numbered hits. Several others also have no base at all. The ones with higher totals, most of that is made up in the base. Could some of these guys just have less base autos in total, which is why they are hitting less in general?

I think it’s just random. Just such a high print run that screws up the numbers. My Lenyn sosa spot hit plenty of color in Houdini’s breaks before the 100 caser started but I only have 4 base autos so far. It just is what it is.

Yeah there looks to be a few like this. My guy only has hit 2 base autos in the 50 cases (11+39) so far. To make matters worse, he only signed Refractor and Purple for color so the chances of hitting anything is very low. I keep waiting for a run but base are just too limited for it to happen.

Could be, but looking at eBay I see 27 Darren Baker auto's currently for sale, only 7 are base, 20 are numbered. Looking at sold there are 9 base, 26 numbered. I would expect the base to be as much, if not more than the numbered. But even that is still a small sample I guess.
