It was just the series against the Yankees. He hit .412 against the Nats and .316 against the Rays.

Air Yordan will be the best combined power hitter and for average hitter the next 10 years. It’s going to get scary when he gets going. A pure nightmare for pitchers every night. This kid is in a league of his own.

A little surprised to see this still sitting here. I figured with all the love for this guy someone would have tossed a few bucks at this thing.

Picked up a vintage stock /99 on fb for $275 on a whim. No comps, was that a good deal?

How do you feel about the purchase?

I see 2 on eBay right now with BIN obo $799 and $899 which is ridiculous seeing as that is Acuna territory.

If I had $275 lying around I would take a shot. I mean if he gets hot early, that card could be an easy double up.

Grabbed a gold foil for $100. I think $275 for vintage is an even better deal.

It’s hard to tell with these but figured it was worth it.

For sure. I'm not as high on him as others and I'm also confused why his stuff isnt selling higher to be honest.

So much hype, his first RC after a long wait since he got left out of late releases. I didnt think we would be able touch his stuff at some of these prices.

I like the horizontal SP and from the looks of it, there are quite a few available so I'm going to wait and see if the price drops. I may regret it, but I'm not really interested in collecting his stuff.

I missed a couple under $100 today, and I’m regretting that now.

I did manage to grab a gold foil for $65 yesterday, and I’m pretty happy with that.

Yes, but at the end of the day you now own his flagship rc in a parallel that is numbered to less than 100. If his play warrants, this card will be sought after just due to scarcity.

I really think you got a nice deal for those facts alone.

I asked this over in the Topps 2020 thread, but I’ll ask here, too.

Does anyone care to make a guess about where the Yordan Alvarez Topps Choice 1956 style autos will land long term? I think these are all /25. I really like the look of them, but I’m trying to decide if it’s out of my league.

So I have about 150 numbered Yordan cards from 2018 and 2019. They were my first baseball and bought them before anyone told me they wouldn't be worth anything because no RC logo. Any chance for these if he does well? Most of them are under /50

In the same boat with about 12 topps now yordan autos -- best is #1/25 purple postseason. Any chance these double. I too like the 1956 topps choice autos /25.

I dont follow Topps now much. Is the secondary market decent?

I picked up an Acuna blowing a bubble PSA 10 for $20 and I like it a lot, but feel like I may have over paid.

Any PSA 10 for $20 is not "overpaying". When you factor in the cards worth, plus grading cost, plus shipping there, and shipping back, then the fees for selling, and costs of shipping after selling, they lost money. You won.

Looking at all the gold foils on ebay, the edges are all chipped to hell. There will be a premium on 10s for sure.

I’m shocked every time I see graded cards selling so cheap... someone lost money on that move

Not true, if you sent bulk, or If one of the main card(s) gem, you get your money back and more. I got ripped into piece on my last submission (three-9, one-8), but that 1 card that gem paid for the 5 cards that I sent and more. And another card that 9 for me will cover my next 2-3 future submissions. If all 5 cards had gem, I'd be going steak night, every night. If that 1 had a 10, it would be a hefty down payment for a car, or couple months payment into a downtown apartment hi-rise.

Whose value long term could we see Yordan comparing to? My heart wants to say Miggy, but he won a title early in his career and made his debut 2 years earlier.
