So are you saying Trump is only beloved by horrible human beings? That’s a very strong statement.

That’s a smart idea

It’s not only the income tax in Illinois that’s crazy, it’s the property tax also

The thing about just broadly saying, "Cut ALL taxes," is that you have to first figure out what is gonna be cut, how much is going to be cut, and if it's feasable to cut those programs.

The one guy who said to cut everything 25 percent is the only one I've seen to actually give an answer to any of those questions (and definitely one of the few who suggested a military cut). Yelling out about taxes does nothing.

Pretty sure there's a few folks from Boston around 245 years ago who would disagree with you.

They didn't just yell, they took action. Plus, their issue was more about being taxed without any say in the matter (taxation without representation).

That was me. The military would be the easiest of the government programs to cut 25% out, after SS and Medicare/Medicaid.

But my answer isn’t much of an answer because it will never happen.

2014 first set of US sanctions against Venezuela
2017 US and EU locks Venezuela out of the credit market
2019 Venezuela has to give Russia their share of Citgo to secure access to credit
2019 One day after meeting with Pence Guaido he claims Maduro is not the legal president.
Basically comes done to Guaido giving US access rights to Venezuela’s oil fields ( largest in the world )
The US is in violation of the Monroe doctrine as well .
Maybe you find this interesting enough to do your own research , like I have , or not . Either way , I don’t care

The penalties for violating the Monroe Doctrine are pretty stiff too, I bet.

But my answer isn’t much of an answer because it will never happen.
If both sides were willing to come together and allow their championed causes to be cut, at least a little, we might be more likely to come to an agreement.

There's lots of room in something like SNAP or welfare to save some money, and that's without cutting any actual benefits. One of my pet peeves about SNAP is that you can buy pretty much any non-hot food you want. Cookies, candy, soda, lobster tail, etc. I think SNAP is a great program and we have a moral obligation to make sure people are able to eat. That being said, SNAP should be limited like WIC is. No candy. No junk food. Dairy, cereal, water, 100 percent fruit juice, veggies, lean meats, bread, pasta, baby formula, diapers, wipes, and essential items like that.

As for welfare, either directly pay utilities, rent, etc. or send vouchers that must be redeemed by those companies/people. No direct cash or loaded cards. Also allow vouchers for childcare so the parents are able to find jobs. Childcare should be looked at like power or water in terms of a necessity.
