Any deadstock pair (of any version) in men's sizes 9-13 sell for $300 to $400+. If you have a lot of them, you're sitting on a gold mine.

I mean you know what I mean people want to be different in those crowds so wearing cement 3's a couple months after release was not where it was at. You would have to bring out shoes that weren't retro'd for A LONG time. I mean during those times bringing out a Sport Blue 6 (before the retro) meant you were BIG TIME, or the Maroon 6, or Oreo 4's/Columbia 4's cause they were at least a decade or more from release date and hadn't been retro'd.

And when the Sport Blue 6 released, NOTHING....when these Columbia 4's released, NOTHING. But, you wait and see these will eventually demand respect later. I have a good feeling that Oreo 4's will be much tougher to get than the Columbia 4's. Which is actually a bad feeling because I want the Oreo 4's and I want more than 1 pair for myself. And I know I'm only going to get 1 from my Uncle.
Agreed with all of the above. 11s are a great looking shoe, no doubt, but incredibly overrated. Doesn't deserve the mass hysteria it gets every year. And yes, OG colorways seem to stand the test of time in terms of value and respect more than they hyped up limited colorway of the moment

Depending on how icy the soles are you could be sitting on at least $4000. And like shindo03 said the year of release matters as well. If they are the 2001 releases, you could be sitting on more. That is kind of crazy how you've managed to hold on to such a hyped shoe and keep it deadstock for so long without selling. Ever hear of corgishoe on Instagram? He makes a killing doing that

Not a shoe collector but I pick some up to wear. Picked up a Suit and Tie "Paisley" Air Max on Sunday.

Guys don't kill me on this one but just curious as to why shoes and what you do with them. You might say, what the difference, shoes, cards, coins, etc. but shoes are much bigger and take up much more space. The few shoe collectors I know don't wear them but just have them and store them. What about you guys? Do you treat them like collectors items or wear them, or both? Do you find it annoying that they take up so much space, any pics of how you store them? I'm a card guy so just curious, thanks.

Depending on the release they may never be worn or just not in the forseeable future. some like general release get worn but others may not. I have managed to make room for my kicks but it definatey is tough to manage.

I wear some. I keep some. I store them in the boxes except my regular rotation.

Any of my "special" shoes that get worn are put back into boxes with the shoe tree/tissue to help maintain shape.

I don't find it annoying that it takes up a lot of space, but my girlfriend does.

Much like card collecting, it's become more of a buy and flip for profit hobby.

Anybody have an issue where one shoe ages faster than another?

I have a pair of 5s where the left shoe shows signs of yellowing on the sole but the right now is 100% Icy. I think it was because one shoe was covered with the paper fully vs the other but I didn't even notice til I took both shoes out to look at.

Second question, would you guys restore one to match the other or let the other age to match the other?

Third. Any recommendations for restoring ICY Soles?

Thanks for the reply on the post. Just curious, would it be a standard apply with cloth, brush, and wipe?

Does it damage the rest of the sole if it trickles to other parts of the shoe?

I live walking distance from a Sally's so this is great.

Anyone else?

FYI, here is the shoe. Laney 5. Right shoe looks near brand new as oppose to the one shown in the pic.

Having a similar issue with these too.

I've never done it myself... but apply with brush, wrap in saran wrap, put out in the sun to lighten the sole. Could take multiple applications.

I would try it on a small spot first... you know... just in case.

I agree, nothing wrong with it at all. But die hard shoe enthusiasts would beg to differ.

Thanks for the helpful replies! I have to admit, I'm a bit shocked about the price. They're certainly not the old rereleases (2009 jams), but I had a friend who worked at the local Nike campus at the time, so I kind of splurged through him for unhealthy spending reasons lol. Hopefully will get time to head out to storage some time later this week to check out the yellowing on the soles. Hoping them being in the box away from any sort of sunlight their whole life helped, but the pair I actually kept and wore are pretty much shot and quickly approaching kidney failure urine coloration.

I'd literally pay money to go to that storage locker and see those beauties. Update us with pics please!

Dude I mean the 2009 are really not "old," I don't know what you have in that storage, but if it is 2010 Cool Greys, 2011 Concords, 2012 Breds, 2013 Gammas... then well hurry up and sell cause I'm pretty sure they are going recycle, reuse, and repeat. I mean once the DB3 got re-released, YOU know nothing is safe. And the hype is on the recent releases, it's actually harder to sell the older shoes because of concern of the shoe holding up. I'm guarantee the people with the OG Cool Greys, OG Cords, and OG Breds wish they would have sold prior to the rereleases. With that being said I got Legend Blues for $275 with Shipping hahahahaha so Message me for them!!!
