I really don't see how handcuffing a team to a small city, with a limited market, is a good thing for anyone. Well, except that small city.

If the Packers moved to Milwaukee, who at least has "stuff" there, and over 500,000 residents. Would anyone outside of Green Bay care?
NFL actually wanted the Packers to move to MKE in the 60s.

Which has, somehow, given the Packers one of the largest, most diehard fan bases in the league. Nothing about the set-up in Green Bay is repeatable or scalable, but it works (and I don't think there's a single Packers fan who would rather have some billionaire schlong trying to extort the city for tax dollars by threatening to move the team).

Spoken like a scared person from Wisconsin! Chicago is one of the largest cities in the country. Yes, for sure, most murders since so many people. You need to look at the percentages.

But most murders per capita? New Orleans (71%), St Louis (68%), Detroit (Lions fans will love this, 50%), Rochester NY (36%), Atlanta (33%), Hartford CT (29.2), Washington, DC (28.4) ETC

Chicago's 25%, is the same as places like Indianapolis & Buffalo. Not that thats a brag.

But dont let facts get in the way of your argument. We like it that people are afraid. Makes us seem tougher for surviving over here.

Hey be proud of your city! Some cool stuff to see just have to step over the dead body to see it. Though I will give you at least you are not San Fran with literally crap and needles all over the street.

Yup. Only the strong survive in Chicago. Its not for everyone. At lest we aren't Detroit, with double the homicide levels. Even the strong don't survive there!

Ignorance is really getting flaunted today. Your pathological fear of any city more than 100k really grinds your gears eh?

Nah Just Chicago because it smells. Maybe just because it's to close to Gary.

Lolol - I knew it couldn't go on much longer without this being dropped!

The air is rather nice at the top, I must say. Snoobs, Rememberthepast, regularp and the rest of us are enjoying the view, to be sure.

Man this is even more depressing than Moldy's take! Where's the fight? Where's the wildly misplaced optimism? Where's the comparative crime statistics for MPLS and PHL??

Where's Boo to stan for Captain Kirk?

Actually if you would look GB being 1-0 in the division would put GB at the top and Lions in second place since they have a non division win.

I thought we were just supposed to rip on each others' respective teams, some real state-on-state hate crimes recently. Let's try and find some middle ground!

To my fellow Wisconsites, downtown Chicago is glorious. Great mix of old and new in terms of architecture, top notch dining, MD Park, all the museums, I could go on. It's been quite awhile since I've gone, but I used to love jumping on the Hiawatha for Chicago day trips. Never once felt "in danger" walking around downtown - and it's way cleaner than you are likely imagining. I personally would never live there as I prefer having my space/peace & quiet, but if you desire living in the city you would love it. The crime is largely in two pockets - a large one on the south side and a smaller one on the near-ish west side - just past the United Center. Stay away from those areas and you're fine!

To my Illinoisan neighbors, we have more than cows and hillbillies! Many awesome vacation destinations here - the beautiful Lake Geneva often populated by your peeps, family friendly Wisconsin Dells, and the charming Door County. Toss in the Northwoods - the pride and joy to those of us who love the outdoors - and you have something for everybody. We have the most lakes of any state in the lower 48 - more than Minnesota even! - known for outstanding fishing and recreation alike. You want relaxed yet phenomenal dining? Wisconsin is well known for it's Supper Clubs and fish fry establishments - I'd put a top notch Wisconsin Supper Club steak over a Chicago steakhouse even! I'd talk about Milwaukee, but you guys have Chicago. And Milwaukee kind of sucks.

No need to trash each others' state, let's all just get along and belittle each others' football team!

Can we all at least make fun of Detroit?

Can't be troubled with such technicalities. Lions beat the Chiefs. Packers beat....the Bears.

Wait now, we can't knock the Packers for getting a walk-over in week 1.
