Won a couple of 2019 Topps Now Futures base sets in Houdini breaks...

Any opinion on how these will fare in coming years?

Will they have the RC logo?

Thought it would be cheap fun to speculate long term and possibly grade a set.

I got a #/25 set last night from Houdini on a 29 pack break (25 packs + 4 pity packs). I doubt they’d have the RC logo but wouldn’t blow my mind if they did. It should have a Rookie cup if nothing else.

I noticed some Topps Now cards featured both the Rookie Cup and RC logo.

Also, a few of the Soto autos from the NLCS has risen in value.

Never considered Topps Now, but these could have some interesting cherry picking opportunities.

I was lookin at Will Smith and Vladdy Jr with dualing logos which was confusing.

Nobody's commented in the Yordan thread for more than a month. Have people soured on him because of the Astros' cheating scandal? Or is he just not as exciting as Vlad, Tatis and Acuna?

It's certainly possible that Yordan benefited from the can-banging, but his production wasn't surprising when one considers how he tore up Triple-A prior to his call-up.

Where do people find themselves on Yordan investing in light of the scandal? Wait-and-see? Is he tainted? Is everyone being strategically silent on him?

He kinda fell off in October, there will be a big uptick and actual pictures in here as soon as series 1 finally debuts a rc for the kid, and then it’s all up to him in ST/regular season. He’s either Rhys Hoskins/Matt Olsen 2.0 or the real deal. Can he make the adjustments with all the noise around him and his team, and with a new manager? Judging by all of the new interest in series 1, a lot of people are banking on him and a couple others. We shall see.

The Bowman Chrome excitement has been over for awhile in preparation for Flagship release. I don’t think the Houston situation is helping his cause either right now. You’ll have the ‘believers’ and some ‘hopefuls’ buying early, with prices settling down during spring training and then his stats will dictate prices. If he’s slow out the gate during the regular season, I see his cards nose diving, thus creating a buying opportunity.

He is a DH and was the easiest out on the Astros during the postseason last year. Also hit 70+ points better at home

He was a rookie at 22 in his first MLB playoffs. That's not a sample size to go off of at all. He really just had a bad Championship Series.

In 7 WS games he had 7 hits, a HR, and 1.112 OPS.

His Everest like drop in production during the postseason was jaw dropping. I agree his sample size is small but he forced people's hands during the postseason. And he is a DH... and an Astro which isn't the place to be right now
