My guess is that with one swing of the bat, the print run increased by at least 30%, if not significantly more.

Using recent sold prices of megabox Bowman, Heritage Actions and Topps Now print runs as a guide, I'd say it was pretty obvious more and more people were souring on him. But the hype after these recent "firsts" might be back to ALMOST the same levels as when he first signed with the Angels.

His first topps now was 17k, and that was for a non RC logo, press conference photo card. This is a limited, possibly "only card ever" of Ohtani in the Living set.

I think 20k is almost a given at this point.
25k, maybe even 30k seems silly, but it wouldn't be a shock.

Or maybe it sells fewer than Judge. We'll find out in a few hours, or tomorrow...

the 'living set' market being flooded with Ohtani's is going to be a great thing for the 'living Set' because it will bring more eyes to the product as a whole.

Honestly I don't think so. Using Judge as a guide I doubt it. The problem is by year end there will be so many Ohtani's out there and this print run will be huge.

As for flavour of the moment and short term it might do well.

Another x factor for long term value is obviously how he plays and if this set stays popular.

I am just worried they will be like the TBT sets. So far it sounds like they might.

I ordered 30-60 sets last year that had Judge in them and of those I was able to usually send 25-30% away for grading. Centring was the only problem.

The set that had Judge doing the fake interview I only had one that was 60/40 out of 30 sets. All where 80/20 centring. Brutal.

Just curious...anyone ever send sets back because of centring? I doubt they would take them back...

Just bought 2 more Ohtanis from TwinsJake with eBay bucks lol, couldn't resist. I think these will hold more value long term over the Topps Now stuff just because it's so much more aesthetically pleasing and there is ONE. I've never bought into the Topps Now stuff because there's just too many and I've never cared much for the design, these are a different beast though!

Jake does better at the Living Set, he is a bit higher with his guesses. If I were to guess again, I might split the difference between us. I have been low so far on the Living Set. That home run last night has the chance to propel #7 to the highest PR out of any of the print-on-demand cards to date. 25,000+???

It's insane. Topps is printing money right now. I've got 650 presold now. I told work when baseball season ramps up I'll be cutting my hours to focus on eBay and well I guess it's time.
