His stuff is starting to move, I think collectors looking for “blue chips” after they sell some more speculative players for profit. I just sold a Trout Cognac and had lots of interest.... I sold it to pick up some Kobe’s I’ve been going after....

They need to come my way then. I have yet to see a single offer on my Trout 2013 Topps Red but I'll get offers all over the place on a Jake Sanford Auto.

Seems like plenty of BGS 9.5 graded US175 out there.
That said, what is the key subgrade to focus on? Mine is 9.5 centering and edges with a 9 surface. But the corners are a 10. Is that the best subgrade to get a 10 on? |

For me, I like centering to be 10, if I had to pick amongst the 4

Is US175 difficult to find centered?
What are the flaws most associated with this card? |

Yikes, a BGS true gem 2011 Finest Refractor went for a little over $700 while a Finest Refractor PSA 10 went for over $1,600 in the auctions tonight.

Market has definitely cooled down. Maybe some cold feet from the fake reports?

Friends,
Do you covet a US175 that has an mlb authenticated auto, psa slabed, but with no grade on the card its self? I'm thinking of getting a "luxury" 2011 Trout and am considering this over a diamond or cognac.

I am not a fan of IP autos on Update RC's. Maybe that's just me. I'd much rather have a Finest RC auto.

I absolutely love these cards and have bought many off of the open market. Obviously the cards that are graded 10 and have an Auto 10 are going to be at the top of the list (and most expensive), but as long as the card isn’t severely damaged, I dont think have it graded “Authentic” instead of say, a PSA 8, makes it any worse. I enjoy these much more than the Finest/Sterling Autos from 2011 for a few reasons: 1) Update 175 is the “iconic” Trout card 2) sterling, even though limited to 109 copies, is a Sticker 3) according to some on here with the information, Trout is no longer “allowed” to sign cards at Private signings All of that being said, I own a few of each. I think all Trout is good Trout, but if we are talking about picking up an “Authentic” 2011 Update Auto for $900-$1200 vs. a 2011 Finest Auto /499 PSA 9 for ~$2000, I’ll take two of the Update Autos over the one Finest. |

There's a large group of collectors that will never even look at a card like this so you'll limit your market if you ever try to sell. Your market is wide open with a finest auto or diamond/cognac Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Appreciate the thoughts. For what it's worth, I think if I bought this card itd be a PC vault type of pick up and that I'd be much more likely to part with my regular us175s.
I will consider the alternatives though... I'm open to finest.

I prefer IP autos of cards that don't normally have an auto. It's his iconic card, I feel any Trout PC needs this card signed and one raw too. My kid got me a PSA 10/10 for Christmas in 2018.

My avatar though... got that signed in 2012. It's still in my PC, in a PSA/DNA Blue Flip 9 holder... I've got about a whopping $23 into it... I love it!
