Mosaic isnt Optic. Once product drops skim margins. Buying $15 cellos and flipping for $25 is barely a $2 profit. That's also if they don't promote the listing or if they don't have a store etc.

you can tell us all day long how it’s not profitable yet people are still going to do it so it must be for them. i’ve seen guys who have sold $300k worth of bricks on ebay making 20% profit. That might not feed a family but it does just fine for an 18-22 year old kid.

QBs usually dont peak during their rookie years.

Theres countless examples of guys that peaked their 2nd or 3rd year.

Think longer term.

Oh, I agree with you. I’m hoarding Fields. I wouldn’t say retail stalkers typically have a “long term” mentality, though.

People will need to start going to gambling addiction programs if they continue buy retail over retail prices. It's more of a losing battle. Anthony Edwards mosaic base around $10. Silver not that great.

what’s nice about mosaic is the big chase card with Genesis. Too bad optic retail basketball doesn’t have a genesis/downtown/kaboom type chase card.

Can’t wait until the debate about whether Genesis is weighable or not fires up lol. I just very unscientifically weighed a genesis and a base mosaic and they weighed the same which is good news, makes me imagine they won’t be weighable for “heavy boxes.”

Exactly. If something goes for $20 on eBay, they sell it for $17 on Facebook figuring they woulda had to pay fees anyway.

Also, the Big 3 all sell wax on eBay but I wouldn't say they aren't bright for doing so.

The chaser parallel in Optic retail is the checkerboard, and those sell pretty well, but I do agree that the Genesis will be much more sought after. Optic also has the checkerboard Rated Rookie 1/1 autos, but obviously those are next to impossible to hit.

Yep checkerboard is the big Optic chase. But not much talk about that this year.

Those arent even rare.
Maybe there will be a print run of 1000 for Genesis this year.

yep most of the time selling locally will be for more than ebay because of the impatience in people. the main reason lcs survive is on that same premise. most lcs charge over ebay because people will pay more to have it right now in their hands

That's true. Haven't stepped in a LCS because of that. I also have restraint and want the best deal.
