Yes- and that momentum should help with his confidence, which has to be diminished after the way his career started. I don’t hear that much here about confidence as contributing to performance, but it seems like it is a major personal factor with Zion.

Picked up a 19-20 One and One Rookie /99 BGS 9.5 for $322 USD. Had been looking at that card since release, hard to believe how far it has fallen, happy to finally get one though.

Nice price on the Galactic that just sold recently also.

Oh man, I missed the Galactic. That was another one I would like. Definitely nice to see prices somewhat affordable now. I'd love to get a Flawless or Eminence RPA but they are still out of my price range I think.

Zion has obviously taken a hit, but the popularity of One & One has really fallen off a cliff. And it’s the best new set Panini has created in probably 10 years.

It is definitely the best looking ultra modern basketball set in my eyes. I’m referring in particular to the first release (2019-2020).

Why do you think it’s fallen off a cliff? Don’t you think all ultra modern is trying to find the right price point? I know I’ve been trying to hoard and complete the first release!

I'm still waiting on these dumbazz sellers to realize just cause its numbered under /100 or a case hit doesn't mean it's a 400-1000+ dollar card for any top 10 player right now. Prices in any main hobby set are still too high for most top guys rn. You still got these weirdos clinging to Covid era BIN prices. Some of these cards I've watched sit for over a year.

Straight on point with that.. I remember when these boxes were like $1500 a box for 2 most likely terrible cards auto included! I’m just waiting some of these commons and a few stars to to fall! $170 for Penny Hardaway. Cmon man!

Ultra modern is a problem. Worse in basketball than any other sport. But for One & One in particular, there were a few guys hoarding the Golds and Blacks. Once they quit and flooded the market, prices tanked. I certainly like today’s prices more than what they were in 2021.

I think newer collectors are still unsure what to collect right now. There's so much out there and that's with Panini behind the 8 ball and Fanatics still to come and continue the pump.

A lot of people still to lose money on their buying from the past few years.

That Zion, if you're a fan, is a must have card. I had one and got out and $800 or something. Would gladly buy back in at that price.

Both those sales were mine. Sales are a little disappointing but I am getting rid of my expensive inventory and have some others I’ve bought recently to hold onto at a lower cost basis. Sadly I don’t have much faith in his market turning around at this point unless they make a deep playoff run with Z leading the way.

Seeing what that One & One /99 sold for (I decided not to bid on it at the last moment, then watched it sell for a lot less than I was going to bid!) makes me cringe when I compare it to what I paid for my /99 a couple of years ago.

But I still have it and it's one of my favourite cards that I don't plan on selling, so it's ok. That galactic went for a little less than I thought it would too. Still an amazing looking card.

Unfortunately, I think you’re right. Not just a deep playoff run. I think he needs to carry them to a championship.

It sucks but I think had you held them and sold later, you’d get less and less. The market still feels a bit like trying to catch a falling knife in a lot of areas. It’s a “Buy what you like a price you can afford for your collection” type of world.

Yep, everything I'm buying rn is something I want whether or not it's a "dollar 10 years from now" sort of card. I'm just buying things to appreciate and save myself the headache of trying to find it years from now basically.
