MLB and MLBPA control everything Topps puts out. Topps needs their approval on all product names, the checklists, the photos, the text, and the designs. They also decide on who gets the RC logo, and it's arbitrary. You can look at when players debut and who gets RC logos one year compared to the next. This year, two players debuted on June 8, Yordan and Peter Fairbanks. Neither has a logo RC. Fairbanks probably isn't a high enough profile to warrant a card in late season products, but Yordan obviously is.

What's frustrating is that somehow Colin Poche got an RC logo card in Topps Total, but he debuted the day after Yordan. No one who debuted later has a logo, AFAIK, so it appears that June 8 was the cutoff, although it was either misapplied to Poche or they decided June 9 was the cutoff and then completely subjectively held out Yordan and others who came up that weekend from 2019 products where possible. That Yordan et al have 'call up' tags instead of logos is just MLBPA taking 2 bites at the apple.

How does Yordan have prices going higher on ebay right now, I mean he did hit a homerun last night but his prices seem to be more than correa or altuve or springer or bregman?

Is there a sense of major upside?

I love the Heritage Minors Real One Autos, especially when the minor league team name reflected on the card matches the MLB team name, although I think they had to stop doing it.

Altuves rookie went way up after his homerun vs the yanks. 10s were about 75 bucks and shot up to 130 that night. Yordams megas have actually gone down.

OMG. It literally took me a couple seconds to find the auto. I wonder if price upside is diminished due to the lack of contrast. Cool cards that could’ve been cooler if a little more thought had gone into them.

I just sold my last of Yordan (solely 2019 Bowman). No one cares about my numbers, but my $130 did very, very well

my first success since getting back into prospecting. I say this from a 'it's fun to make money' perspective, not really more than that.

My budgets will keep me off his 2020 stuff, which stinks bc I genuinely like the dude.
