Topps basically said in the readers write section that cards stick together and that is why it wasn't signed.

Now unless there were two 1 of 1's in the pile the original would have never been autographed according to Topps first response many years ago.

see my post.. I think this was a topps error and no card was ever actually signed. I didn't feel the "auto" that I saw was real either.

Sorry, but you saying you've seen another version of the card does not hold up as proof or confirmation of anything.

Now the scan posted right after the OP.......that's another story.

Topps doesn't care about this card obviously so like I said I may get it signed and affix the stickers myself from other cards. I don't think this would be wrong as I am not forging anything or doing anything illegal. All I would be doing is fixing the error that Topps should have fixed.

but you actually are doing something wrong and illegal by possibly forging the authenticity sticker that Topps places on their autographed cards. Even if you get Alex Rodriguez to sign it personally himself that does not mean a sticker should be placed on the back from a different card to your card because Topps DID NOT authenticate it or be there to witness the signature on the card

can't scan a card I saw at my local trade show lol. I think I know who has it now.. but he felt it was fake too and only got it when he bought out the original owner. There were a handful of fake 1/1's a-rod's in the deal. the 1994 Bowman style is what stuck out to me.

Is the card still in graded BGS case? what grade did it have.

Have Arod sign it at one of his paid signings. I believe he has his own authentic hologram they put on stuff he signs. Just put that on the back of the card. Better than Topps sticker.

If you are wrong again and there are multiple of the Cards out there (we know of 2 for sure) dave peters than what will you have to say?

We have a guy like him at my trade show too.. we call him "head phones guy".. asks the same question a billion times.. and even if you are clearly dealing with a customer.. he will interrupt and ask 50 more questions. Then call you rude if you ask him to wait lol

Ironically he too buys a ton of fake mantle and dimaggio's that were clearly autopened. Dave Peters, do you have a brother or cousin in the Miami area?

The reason I think the sticker thing would be ok is because Topps has told me in the past the stickers and the numbers on them have no meaning.

I have two cards serial numbered and autographed both serial nunmbered 1 of 19 a both the exact same card. So when I asked to verfy the cards with the holgram sticker on the back I was told they couldn't and like I mentioned the numbers on the hologram didn't mean anything.

To me the card wouldn't be complete without the stickers and since the stickers don't mean anything to Topps it shouldn't matter?

I guess this is why they stopped putting the holograms on their cards.

Sorry, but I don't think you know a guy "like him". David would never do any of those things your guy did....There is only 1 David Peters...he is a man unto himself. His complexity can not be explained through simple message board postings.
