I know it it was too early and it will be the talk all year next year. Skubal is going to get a monster contract assuming his arm doesn't all off next year.

I am not downplaying what they did to even win the division but when they had the tying run at 3rd with nobody out there were different strategies they could’ve used to at least get to extra innings. Safety squeeze even if it fails still better than striking out. Next better same thing, they turned a man on 3rd with nobody out into a man on first with 2 outs. They watched how Detroit took the lead and didn’t learn from it.

They're all pretty bad but for me the worst was McDonald. I couldn't listen to a full season of that. National and post season broadcasts really make me appreciate the home crew.

Obviously a much smaller sample, though 46 innings isn't exactly nothing, but it's funny that Ohtani finished this year with a higher K% than Tarik Skubal.
