Fear this will turn out a little like Series 2 did this year. Printed to the moon and a lot of complaining from new to the hobby buyers who didn't get a big hit.

"My 3 autographs include 2 guys not even in the majors anymore and a middle reliever." Unfortunately that's what Chrome is becoming.

That's a clear error based on the rest of the odds listed. Looks like a total production run of-

11,338 hobby cases
8,100 jumbo cases
5,914 delight cases (assuming 6 box case like last year)

How many cases can they fit on a pallet?

That is a lot of cases

I noticed on the Topps Chrome product page, it states: "Orders placed during the pre-order window are scheduled to begin shipping in advance of the product release date, July 23, 2025

However, on my emailed receipt, it states: Expected by Tue, Jul 8...?

Is the latter simply a...."premature, ETA", or should we actually be expecting these...as early as 2 weeks or so from now? I mean; granted, I realize the EIGHTH is (obviously)...."in advance of the product release date", but still; we usually get pre-orders +/- a day or two ahead of calendar release dates. NOT,...2+ weeks, ahead.

Not many really know if any Topps wax has met a resistance point yet. Topps/Fanatics is selling a fraction of the product online and giving the rest to breakers at discounted prices and/or holding it until the price goes up then, mostly due to artificial scarcity, selling it to breakers at much higher than initial prices.

If they ran fair auctions or had most of the product available for sale on their site then we would know. But they don't want that to happen.

No, they just didn’t put the right shipping timeline in their order page. These will ship just like any other preorder, a few days before release. They must have just defaulted the shipping timeline to 2 weeks in the data for the release page. These will all arrive on or around release day of 7/23

assuming they are still doing the MVP buyback promotion, it was really crappy of Fanatics to leave Raleigh and PCA off of a 300 card checklist. How does that happen? PCA especially considering he is a second-year guy, even without knowing he would blow up this season. You make room for numerous average veteran relief pitchers but can't fit in PCA? Woof.

We don't have to see fair auctions to know they haven't reached the resistance point yet. As long as breakers keep selling out their spots, we know they haven't reached it.

I'm willing to spend around $200-$300 on boxes of a product to try and build a complete set, in most cases. I just checked out some mega box breaks from last year and each pack had 3 base cards. So 21 base cards per box. You're looking at ~$930 spent just to get to 300 base cards from megas, and then there's collation to think about.

Yes, you're also getting xfractors, inserts, parallels, maybe some autos. And if you have the time to sell all of that to recoup money right after release that's awesome. Unfortunately, that's hard for me to do right now.

These days I just stick to products where I can stay within my budget and get enough cards to mostly complete a set. Which is becoming mainly flagship and a few other random things throughout the year. It just is what it is. I'm still having plenty of fun with the hobby in other ways. But I miss opening products like this!

Wow! Chrome is still readily available on Topps?? Either people hate the product or they made an absolute ton of it. Doesn't this product normally sell out Day 1?

Lot's of doomers and boomers here apparently. Got two jumbo personals - yeah I might/probably will get dusted but I buy pretty much nothing yearly up until this point (Flagship Chrome, TCU, and tried to get cosmic at MSRP last year but no luck w/ EQL) so I can buy some chrome. I'm fine w/ it. As always I'll go and buy a few of the high numbered RC autos I don't pull : /. But I do refuse to pay aftermarket prices on wax so if I don't get it now I never will.

My bad! I'll bring the doom and boom instead: Can't believe this cost so much!!!! What's Topps thinking???? Odds are insane. Print run is insane. Regretting my purchase wish I could return. Wish it was 2001 again. Nobody should ever buy this...can't believe everyone likes to get ripped off.

It’s way more interesting to see people telling us that they aren’t buying something.

Can't wait for the big 3 to start selling them at around $400 a hobby box once the presell ends and miraculously all be the exact same prices. Then of course all the breakers will price breaks at the big 3 prices plus another 25 percent tacked on or so. Breakers are making a mint this past couple years and of course Fanatics gets a big cut on everything.

Did they put all the legends autos only in the breakers boxes again?

I'm feeling really targeted here bro. Why don't you guys show the actual box front? Roki sasaki is on it.

Like 3 years ago yeah but last couple of years this is how it's been it takes a couple sometimes 3-4 days to completely sell through. Mainly because people initially balk at price, odds, etc.... and also because let's face it more and more people are joining breaks to focus on specific teams/players because they don't want to get stuck with a bunch of junk base/inserts they can't move. So has not so much to do with the product itself than the hobby has moved more towards breaking and singles than everyone buying and ripping themselves.

It’s not just to “focus on.” It’s because it’s no longer affordable to buy multiple boxes unless you are a breaker. This is what Fanatics is choosing as the business model. Keep selling retail, raise those prices, and make it so you can only break on fanatics live if you want a direct account. Meanwhile, Fabatics makes money out the whazoo when they charge for the boxes and to open on fanatics live. And with their print runs being ungodly high, they most certainly are 10xing their profit margins on this.
