I bought the Maple Leafs in a bunch of cases of The Cup through Dave & Adams to chase Knies rcs. Spent about the equivalent cost of just over what 2 boxes of The Cup would normally run. Couldn’t be happier with the hits, especially the Knies RPA & Gold RPA. I figured there was no way to hit Bedard since I only had Toronto, but I got lucky and hit the 6 Buttons 1/1 that was randomed between the 6 teams. The Printing plate 1/1 booklet is of Mark Giordano from 2023-24 Series 1. I don’t generally condone breaking, but sometimes you can find value if a team is underpriced and has good returns. All are available except the Knies RPA /249.

Great cards. The 6 button 1/1 must be up there on the product hit list. That alone should pay for your break spots.

You definitely made the one case (har har) to buy into breaks that is valid, and it paid off as well as anyone could have hoped. Well played good sir.

Thank you! Results not typical, but this time it worked out in my favor

I guess the hard plastic cases for the RPAs are a good thing in a "no muss, no fuss" sort of way when it comes to provenance, but I prefer to keep my Cup RPAs in magnetics and sleeves for aesthetics and ease of storage. I get it, though. Maybe I'll get used to these over time, as breaking them out of those cases would probably hurt any resale value, as people would want the original casing, and we certainly can't have that.

There’s always a new chase created once a product “hit is pulled but that’s big

Do we know if the shield is game-worn or player-worn material?

I didn't see the back of this one, but all the other shield autos I've seen were game used so far.

wonder what a realistic price for that Bedard Shield 1/1 is? It's the biggest card of his that isnt the 1/1 YG. 6 figures?

I'm sure we'll know soon - much more downside than upside

I'd guess 6 figures since there is/was an offer for 125K CAD already. The Bedard true Ultimate RC Shield 1/1 is going for auction too on Slabsharks so that should tell us something soon enough. Was in their auction previews this morning when I checked.

I still wonder where that 1/1 YG is? A hobby box tucked away for years or did they put it on e-pack

No public announcement to its whereabouts. Would be funny if someone pulled it and threw it in a one touch in the drawer. lol

More than likely, it's probably still in a sealed box in a closet. Would be criminal if it was on e-pack, because UD could in theory control when it finally gets hit (and they're incentivized to set that date to 'never', right?). But by other measures, like for The Cup 1/1 just pulled, it would seem UD is legitimately randomizing things.

If you trust UD they claimed it’s not on e-pack, it’s in a physical box.

Probably in a box on a shelf in some small town with an insane price tag on it.

Is Bedard stuff considered good? Relics from legendary players are getting hard to find.

IMO if we’re going off the word “good” and not “great” this very page has some good things that have came from the Cup

I dunno, it seems most people are bummed out if they don't pull anything Bedard.
