Pretty good series. Butler was the stand out in my opinion. He really put himself out there and humanized himself. I expected him to be way more of a cold personality but he’s goofy and emotionally vulnerable. I don’t know why but I loved his passion/competitiveness for dominos haha.
Bron was bron. Kind of full of himself in an annoying passive aggressive way but hard not to appreciate all the work he puts into being great. I think I appreciate Tatum even more now. Guy is really an amazing player. Really interesting to see his perspective and how he handles all the media questions/hate/doubt direct at him How sabonis got snubbed for the all-star game is beyond me. He just seems like a great guy and teammate. Hell of a player. I think I could watch a whole season of just papa sabonis. Arvydas was entertaining to me any time he’s was on the screen. Where is the 30 for 30 on him Not sure I get all the hate on Ant man. He just turned 23. He would have been 22 the entire last season. Of course he’s immature. I guess I just wasn’t surprised by it. Unfortunately he’s closer to the mean when it comes to 22 year old males today. Add in fame, money and ridiculous athletic ability and he’s pretty much what I would expect. As someone that has to train, supervise and mentor people that are around that age I guess I just wasn’t surprised. |

He was alright. His T-Wolves pretty much got exposed as one dimensional against the Mavs, of all teams. I think that either KAT or DiVincenzo mattered more than we give them credit for. Curious to see which one.

This show literally is showing these guys personalities. So those getting butthurt over that should speak to the producers. The pretty showed Ant playing fortnite like a 12 year old when he had the entire family over. I don't buy in to the garabge of "he's only 22" either. That isn't that young. I used to teach high school kids and most 17 year olds aren't that immature. Lucky he does earn plenty so he can hand money over to those skanks he's knocked up. Basketball wise he's great. But talks way too much. Luka humbled him nicely last season though. I do like how Tatum really does want to win. Sabonis is great. LeBron is still cringe to me. Buckets is also just a baller. He's gonna be the guy that just can never get it done because of LeBron.

Context is everything. Gaming as an adult isn't even a big deal. Especially as they need downtime after the intensity of what they do. Needing to be constantly nagged on thanksgiving to join the family was a sad moment to watch.

On EP6 right now. I've always been a huge Lebron guy anyway but enjoying getting to see the family dynamic of him & Savannah. Lots of things I've never known, definitely more of a fan after seeing their dynamic. She uplifts him, he uplifts her. He would have been great anyway, but she gave him a realistic shot to be even greater and still an amazingly present father/husband. They are each other's best friends and routing for each other. IYKYK.

This is really wholesome. Seeing Bron in a new light. But actually he wears his fame well.
You know, I don't even have Netfix (too much uncomfortable dross) so I can't watch the show. But if that is Ant's worst excess, sleeping with a coterie of strippers, he can take an honorable seat at the table with Harden. Then the real question becomes: is the conversation five years on Barkley to Iverson or Barkley to O'Neal? Is it commiserating over never having lifted a trophy or a constant one-way smirk fest.

As far as championships, Lebron and Curry are done. Field is wide open, I can see multiple teams sneaking in and getting one over the next 5-6 years. I am not sure we will see a run of the same teams over and over. Obviously, Celtics are favored at least this year to run it back. |

For all the hate Lebron gets on the court (and some deservedly so) he's been great OFF the court. Good father, husband and donates time and money to making the community better. |

Rich Paul coming in and needing to say that everyone thinks LeBron controls the team, but he doesn't! ![]() I mean, at that level, why would you need to say that in a tv show? Rich Paul has very few moments. That stood out to me. LeBron's family calling him the GOAT. ![]() We all know LeBron calls himself this. Then he stumbles around saying that he'll leave it to the barber shop and others to discuss. We already know what you think and have said in the past. LeBron is still cringe. He doesn't have anything wise to say like the Kobe's and Jordan's. Just a very different dude. Sabonis has really stood out to me. Seems like an incredible guy and hard worker. Jimmy Butler is an absolute dog. Loved his parts also. He looks ready to have a better season. Tatum just seems like a super nice and good person. His Dad says he needs that dog type of guy to come out. He is very polished and still young. He's pretty cringe but that Boston team just seem like those 90s Jazz teams as far as being clinical and polished and disciplined with what they do each game. Ant is so good, but yeah, really young and really dumb. I think he wouldn't be seeing team success if he didn't have vets like Conley and Gobert around. He is super fun though and deserving of the number 1 pick over Lamelo etc the Wolves nailed that. It's great they followed the season too. Hopefully they do it again with 5 different guys.

I think this is why I like watching the Pacers. They are organically a young team led by young leaders, opportunistically acquired from teams with no cap space or in the later draft stages. Siakam excepted, t's not like they got a bunch of veterans on board to help propel their young presumptive star.

Agree with a lot of the Ant comments but don't get the hate. He is immature but seems to be a good person for what he and his family has gone through. Honestly almost the best case scenario for a kid in the hood being raised by his siblings. Yes the side pieces and baby mommas are a bad look but he doesn't go out getting in trouble or seem to like to party like some other young super stars.
If Tatum had a little more charisma, he would be absolutely the best face of the league to have but that man is so damn boring. Lebron doing his normal "Family man" narrative spin. If anyone thought what Ant is doing bad at 23, look into Lebron. ![]() |

Tyrese Haliburton will star in the second season of Netflix's "Starting 5" alongside Jaylen Brown, Kevin Durant, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, and James Harden.

Finally had a chance to finish out the 1st season and I can't for the life of me figure out what the Hate for Ant was for or why some are questioning his character. Sure he made some bad decisions with the baby mamas, but thats the only "flaw" that I can see. Nothing from that show made feel that there is anyway he won't be the face of the league for the next 10+ years barring injury.

I mean at least he's not moving his brood of moms and dozen kids to an-end-of-the-world compound in Texas and calling that all-American. Out on the court and getting his. And losing to the better teams, apparently.
