Owen Pickering made his NHL debut for Pittsburgh last night. Can’t wait for him to have rookie cards. I was the broadcaster for his junior team for the first three years of his time there and got to know him very well.

Sharks seem to be fighting best they can now despite an underwhelming roster. After 0-7-2 start, now 6-4-2 since then while being led by Granlund, Toffoli, Eklund, and Zetterlund

Far too many players with names ending in lund for that to continue for very long.

Not saying much but they are a lot better than they were last year. Celebrini and Smith on the same line is looking pretty good, you can see the makings of a pretty competitive team being formed. Defense needs work though.

edit: see just like that, a lot more fight in the team this year

Celebrinis advanced stats are off the chart, he leads the league in puck battles won per game and I saw he had a better zone entry rate than McDavid and MacKinnon.

You know the trade was brutal when the player in return has an unpronounceable name.

Linus Ullmark is cooking. Hottest player in the league and the Sens are back in a playoff spot.

Season defining road trip due to Ottawa hosting the World Juniors started with a 3-0 shutout win last night. Some really tough games in this stretch but if they can play .500 hockey and stay in the mix it'll be a great sign for a playoff push in the New Year.

Just depressing to be a Wings fan right now. A decade out of contention is a long time.

Yzerplan is only years away from success. Ducks and Sabres are similarly crap for a long time with little hope for the new future.

Faith in the Yzerplan is weakening.

Count on Satan to break the bad news! Hopefully McClellan creates some distance from the Sabres, never a good sign to be in Buffalo's neighborhood in the standings.

Excited to see Ovie back in the lineup tonight, hope he can pick up where he left off and start racking goals up again.

Can the national broadcasts in the US break themselves of showing the Penguins, the Bruins, or the Penguins vs. the Bruins? Like for a week? Maybe?

Maybe they will mix it up to Bruins vs. Penguins? Variety is the spice of life!

Seriously though, ESPN+ has been awesome as a cheap way to access the rest of the league.
