The Bucs defense is that good and that deep. Sure their secondary was depleted by injuries but plenty of players stepped up. Izien, McCollum, Gholston, Gaines all came to play.

After the game, Coach Dan Campbell had nothing but praise for how stout the defense of the Buccaneers played all game.

Give credit where credit is due.

He was a crazy red zone target last year, this year he doesn't get utilized at all. Why is that?
Running game joined LaPorta on the milk carton last weekend.

Just a brutal showing by BJ and the offense.

I disagree. They are a playoff team that I don’t want to see scratch in as a wild card team. It’s tough beating the better teams on the road. This thread will be strong in January !

Looks like Vegas has Lions -2.5 or -3 at Arizona. With how good AZ looked last week, I was expecting it to be a tight line. Hopefully Kyler comes back down to earth and the Lions offense finds their rhythm again. I like the Lions this week to bounce back.

AG defense struggles against mobile QBs but this is now all but a must-win.

After watching the replays of Hutch’s performance, his last sack Mayfield was fortunate because he fumbled the ball before being down but the ball came right back to him. I didn’t notice and the scorekeepers didn’t notice because he AH was only awarded one FF.

Lions need this game coming up. Hope their DB’s start to jell on coverage assignments. At least they don’t have torches in the Defensive Backfield this season.

Sack + fumble never made sense to me.

Wanted to reach through my TV and throat-punch Belichick for claiming that Lions' current staff is profiting from hard work done by Fat Matt.

Dead wrong - Holmes and Campbell needed three seasons to undo the DAMAGE caused by Fat Matt's toxic culture. Not to mention Mr. Bob Quinn's horrendous drafts (a couple of exceptions proving the rule).

What was The Double B's explanation for the Eagles 2023 horrendous regression on defense when Matty Pat practically Svengalied his way from "senior defensive assistant" to de facto defensive coordinator?

For a guy whose career depended on prime Tom Brady, claiming that the Lions are thriving on the basis of what Fat Matt did was quite something. I'm fine with him busting on the Falcons, who decided not to hire him.

Sure would be nice if James Houston the IV could learn the playbook and take Barnes position. The coaches have seen him make a great play in practice and then on the next play be way out of position. He had a wonderful rookie season run and now he may be run out of the organization.

Wish we had K. Van Noy for opposite field Quarterback Pressure.

Every time I see Van Noy it reminds me of the abject failure of the Quintricia regime.

Curious what illness Brian Branch can catch over day before the game and they already rule him out.

Expecting a big game out of Jameson tomorrow. Hoping Geno doesn’t carve up the defense for 500 yards yet again.

I'm having a hard time figuring Branch out.

I hope the Lions use their running game more than we've seen. No reason for Goff to have >40 attempts.

Damn he said that? He must still be loyal to Fatty Patty. Clearly, Patricia set this team back. Going with the Patriots junior varsity squad was not a way to winning football. Dumping the "Patriot way" set the Lions back to winning.
