Often the observations are subtle or (increasingly) unstated, because when I say something non-obvious that later turns out true I am gonna hafta walk through flames at the time.

Looking forward to seeing if South Sudan can cause a stir and progress.

The French have a decent group.

The US team should win the final by 20+

It's not like other years where a team was primed to challenge.

Love the defense today in the Greece/Canada game and Brazil/France. Players trying!! Love it. Giannis was great. I have a feeling US will win gold but struggle to do so.

It was in 20-21 when they were not a blip on anyone's radar. I got interested in Nesmith partly because I could see the Celtics brewing something interesting. Pre-season 2021, when the AofF thread got rolling, Boston's odds of making it past play-in were similar to Indiana's prior to last year.

I'll dredge up an old Nesmith post and put it in the appropriate thread.

16-17 and 17-18 ECF too. Brown and Tatum had already been there for a few years by 2020.
