Went 5-5 the other night. Kid is legit. Hopefully he's with the big league team by this time next year.

Hes good but lets not over-react...He did great in A Ball.. but that isnt saying much. Lets see how he does at the higher levels against better talent... that will prove how Legit he may be.

This is NOT mine - just reporting the news.

Someone at my local LCS just put this into their coffers

I wish someone would let the ebay sellers in on this slump because his cards are priced like he started the AS game , Won MVP and ROY and he's still in the minors

He can have his father's career, which is probably above his average career probability and his cards would lose 90% of their value.

Since the OP's last comments bragging about him slumping, Jackson hit .348 in A+ ball, got called up to AA and has proceeded to hit .357 there.

He is the safest bet in all of MiLB to have a Hall of Fame career. He's likely to hit MLB at a young enough age to become hobby royalty.

He should be priced highly.

He definitely should be priced highly but the question is whether ANY player can be "good" enough to sustain/justify the crazy high prices of top prospects and star rookies these days.

Wander is a good example. Guy's prices were through the roof and have dropped significantly since the beginning of his first full season. Sure, he should be hitting a little better, but all he's done is put up 7 WAR per 162 games (a legit HOF pace) as the starting SS on one of the best teams in baseball. And he's going to get better.

All that to say I'm not sure there's any level of on field production that can sustain the insanely high 1st Bowman/RC prices of the most hyped guys these days.

Wowza! This is quite the rise. Puts him in line to be for sure on the OD roster next season.

At one end of spectrum you have Jackson Holiday, at the other end you have Juan Soto .

My first thought is too soon but they work with him every day so I’m assuming they know what the best trajectory for him is.

He could be called up for the stretch run/playoffs. Not a guarantee but a possibility

Wouldn't be a terrible move if they plan on having him on the OD roster next year. I don't see any way they can keep him in the minors for another full year. With the new CBA they can't really risk trying to manipulate his service time, so it's virtually a guarantee he's on the OD roster.

They could still call him up to play a few games at the end of the season, but he wouldn't be able to play in the playoffs since he wasn't on the 40-man roster by 1 Sep. Only way he could play in the postseason is as an emergency injury replacement.

2023 Donruss Marvels Holliday /99 card (ungraded) sold for $137?! Huge jump from previous sales of this card. Simply an overzealous buyer or what?
