Must be asking too damn much for Topps/Fanatics to let the market decide the value and make more profit than they have any year. Instead gotta make sure you try and rip off everyone out of every last cent going forward. Really makes sense for the company with the long-term licenses to try and drive away as many customers and interest as they possibly can before they can use the football and basketball licenses. Brilliant!

The problem is that if there is a hot player in a specific product, the big boys will jump right in to hoard all the excess wax - the little man loses no matter what.

They’re gonna change the game!

Someone got a hold of Bowman Draft 1st edition and opened on Facebook Live. Confirmed in the checklist are Jackson Holliday and Brooks Lee, and a ton of pitchers and 5th round picks

Can't imagine all of Druw Jones, Termarr Johnson, and Elijah Green wouldn't be in it. Maybe just not pulled in that particular box. But, if they're all out, that would be a big disappointment.

Default First Buzz: 2022 Bowman Draft baseball cards

Curious how folks think that even happens? I mean I don’t think that drops till tomorrow on Topps website. And it won’t be available elsewhere yet either. How does a box get in hand and opened that early?

Topps probably shipped to some direct dealers early. Not supposed to sell until tomorrow but could open early to show what the cards look like.

I wouldn't recommend the video, besides half the cards being shown off screen, the dude has zero idea what he's talking about. He was most excited about Matt McClain. Anyway here's a list of notable guys I picked up while watching.

Chase delauter
Reggie Crawford
Dylan Lesko
Zach Neto
Gavin Cross
Sal Stewart
Mikey Romero
Elijah Green
Drew Gilbert
Jackson Holliday
Brooks Lee

Termarr Johnson, Cole Young, Jett Williams are also in it.

Ok well that's good to hear. I'll likely pre-order eventually with these guys in. Bummer that Druw Jones is probably out but I expected him to be held for 2023 Bowman.

Chase delauter - 16th
Reggie Crawford - 30th
Dylan Lesko - 15th
Zach Neto - 13th
Gavin Cross - 9th
Sal Stewart - 32nd
Mikey Romero - 24th
Elijah Green - 5th
Drew Gilbert - 28th
Jackson Holliday - 1st
Brooks Lee - 8th

Termarr Johnson (4th), Cole Young (21st), Jett Williams (14th) are also in it.
So that's a bunch of confirmed 1st rounders. Might have just not been in that box, but I'm sure Topps held Druw Jones back for 2023 Bowman to keep the tradition of a top-5 pick being held out. That could leave out these top 25 picks too. I'm sure a number of these guys made it in. Can't imagine they would hold out this many of the top picks.

3rd - Kumar Rocker
6th - Jacob Berry
7th - Cade Horton
10th - Gabriel Hughes
11th - Kevin Parada
12th - Jace Jung
17th - Justin Crawford
18th - Cam Collier
19th - Daniel Susac
20th - Owen Murphy
22nd - Cooper Hjerpe
23rd - Brandon Barriera
25th - Spencer Jones

No Cam Collier. Was hoping he'd be in there

Yeah, he seems like another potential higher hobby ceiling guy. It should make 2023 Bowman pretty decent having both Druw Jones and presumably Collier in it.

I'm with you. But Stewart and Collier are really the only 2 I'll be chasing from this year's draft, so spreading them out in two releases might be better for my wallet. I can't think of anyone else I would want from 2023 Bowman if Collier isn't in it.

Wonder if the Chrome autos in 1st edition will actually have the 1st Edition logo on them this year.
