https://www.psacard.com/services/tra...grading/review If this was brought up to customer service, I'm not sure why they would deny someone from doing it whether they were the original submitter or a review from a concerned buyer?

What I mean is like how Nat can just presumably skip the line in front of everyone else and command a grader check through his stuff again. I do appreciate his follow up postings today but I bet it would have taken a lot longer as a normal paying customer.
With that said, I still can't believe he would not have inspected that card further once he broke it out of the BGS 9.5 slab - just all kind of mind boggling how this played out. |

Think if it went in graded it might more easily speak to why the error occurred i.e. some bias seeing it in the BGS slab to a 10. This is still rather unlikely though given how many people get smashed on crossovers when sending a card in inside a rival TPG slab. I am also not sure how the grading process works for crossovers. Does the grader crack it out themselves or do they receive the card raw to remove the chance of bias. Putting my external audit hat on, the latter would be far superior from a strong control environment perspective. |

As an side, BGS is also dirty. Worse than what we're currently discussing as potential shady business.

I work as an External Auditor and when it comes to risks associated with my independence and potential conflicts of interest, the perception to the market is everything. We need to do whatever we can to mitigate that perception as much as possible. The easiest way for us to do this is to keep things at arms length by ensuring we do not work on certain engagements or clients if a threat, no matter how small, could be perceived to occur. I think that needs to occur in this instance. It sucks, especially if no one is doing anything wrong but it's not the first time TPG in a hobby related industry has implemented something like this. I really hope he comes out and updates on the Champions of the Court issue. |
