Yeah Amazing what current hype will do to a cards market... I see those Geno Prizm parallels /15 hitting $100. In the meantime Wilson Gold Selects/Prizms /10 selling for $20-40. All about patience

Anyone getting sick of these....

Cody Barton garbage eBay results... Who was the ad wizard who came up with these? Seems like they just took the whole roster and stuck it on eBay.

I know Cody is the WTFs MLB now, but I still have a search for him.

I'm as much of a fan of custom cards as anyone - but hopefully no one buys these, so eventually they go away.

They are insanely annoying. I don't have too many searches saved into Ebay these days but Jarran Reed 1/1 and Chancellor 1/1 are 2 of them and I have received alerts 3 times each for these very cards. Sure gets your hopes up.

What if I told you there was a set of cards that was nearly universally unpopular;
cases at one time could be had at less then the original price of a box;
commons were used as filler cards;
even though college Unis .. not a ton of rookies;
many inserts were barely discernable from the base cards;
even the parallels were very minor.

How's everyone feeling about the draft tonight?

I'm actually getting together with my Seahawks buddy to watch the draft thru pick 20 (or wherever the Seahawks trade down to).

Fingers crossed Mr. Anderson is there at 5

If he's gone and the Carter is gone/not on their board at 5....

I say go straight BPA and take Bijan... I've seen him mocked as high as 6, so not sure if he'll fall to round 2 like K9 did last year.

This would give them the Percy Harvin 2.0(hopefully without the issues) that they have always been looking for, and some K9 insurance in case he gets hurt on the steady diet of 20+ carries a game.

I don't really follow College FB, so I'm more hopeful on positions later in the draft then specific players.

Hopefully get one of the top 3 Centers, top guards, 2 big boy run stopping NTs, and a LB. And a bruising back to get 3rd/4th and 1s later on or as UDFA.

And if they happen to get this guy, I won't be complaining:

Wow - what a weird draft get the TOP corner and TOP WR, Beastmode 2.0, and a guy who's comp is stout Cliff Avril.

Draft 100% did not go as expected as they went straight up BPA at every pick so far.

Only one on my list checked off so far is "bruising back" - Looks like the plan is for Thunder AND lightning in the backfield. I guess they are happy with the center they have and hopefully have a big boy NT or 2 targeted.

What a Bizzaro draft! Like JS was saying, super weird...

Got all the needful players, they just picked them in reverse order. AND one of the TOP centers as requested. Hopefully that was the guy they were targeting as they had plenty of chances to draft the available top centers at various spots.

And at least a couple more players that listed run stopping or eating double teams for breakfast as strengths... SO hopefully no more episodes of "Running backs gone wild"

And thanks to the NIL several of them already have somewhere between 1 and a ton of cards.

The UDFA class looks good and has a couple people coming in to comPETE for NT.

Hopefully he sticks around and we see him in preseason. I know my Seahawks buddy is a huge Ragnar Lothbrok fan - so if he makes it, I'll be hearing that name from him a looooooooot.

Also - I didn't know this - cause you just assume everyone who plays football is tough.... but the toughest players get rated in HAMMERS!

I'm guessing Kam had 11 hammers by his name in his draft profile.

It's always great when you pull someone you actually collect!

I actually picked up some Bowman U and Sage blasters, just to see if I can pull a JSN, Devon, or other Seahawks draft picks as I don't open packs very often.

Did pick up the Anthony Bradford off eBay, but does seem like lineman are common auto "hits" - so I am sure a lot of people are getting lucky and pulling him

And pulled all the Seahawks out of the 4 Sage blasters I opened - Just an FYI - 4 blasters was about right - anymore and you will be wading thru tons of dupes

Just an FYI - but the Bowman University cards are really nice looking in hand

Also - despite the basic design, the Sage autos look good too

On a side note Kenny McIntosh is more shredded then Kylo Ren.

Also - even though he was drafted in the 7th round - he seems to be the player getting the most coverage/hype/better then Travis Homer expectations.

If he blows it up in rookie mini camp - beware the hype monster that will be unleashed.



Now that I own 2! Jake Bobo autos, guess I'll be pulling for him as WR5/6 or at least practice squad

Excited to find a Mike Morris card - looks to be a Michigan Wolverines local issue by Valiant. Hopefully he has a couple big games as he seems like he'll be a good interviewee.

Anthony Bradford - Not sure why, but I like the look of those sage cards, was fun opening the sage auto packs from the blasters(made up for the base cards)

Mario Edwards - Hopefully a contributor this year, maybe a 4-6 sacks guy? And of course run-stopper extraordinaire

Zach Charbonnet - was at the rookie premiere so will have a ton of cards... but how long until his auto turns into a shortened version like K9 did last year

Forrest Merrill - just another big dude NT living his Seahawks dream

Kenny McIntosh - Seems like the pick for a lot of people for the "surprise" rookie this year

Finally managed to find the Olu for this set: Olu Oluwatimi 2022 Michigan Wolverines Valiant Group team issue card:







And was ordering some cards from a seller on eBay, and like I usually do, checked to see if they have any other Seahawks stuff.

Lucked out and found this bad boy - PC #1. I just need some gum and a wig - and I'm good to go for Halloween too.



Only my 2nd "modern" jersey after you guessed it - Matt Flynn. Luckily its a custom and doesn't have the excessive amount of flair on a standard jersey(and is also a lot more comfortable)

With the throwbacks coming out this year - I am seeing a lot of discussion on which one is everyone's favorite jersey...

I know I'm in the minority, but mine by far is the Hass/SA37 era dark blues. I still have a couple of searches on eBay and pick them up when nice ones show up.

Anyone else still rocking those? for me its the 2002s (dark blues) >>> Classic > moderns

I'm sure part of it is that the Reebok jerseys are so much more comfortable then the newer ones. Also - just the right amount of trim.... the new jerseys look good on the field, but up close they are pretty busy (like Jennifer Aniston's "place of work" in Officespace level of flair)

It's been 10 years... if we are getting the throwback this year, how about a new jersey next year.

Not sure if everyone knows the story of former Seahawk Travis Lulay.
I know it because my friend watches CFL and is a big BC Lions fan....
After leaving the Hawks he headed up north and was the QB for the BC Lions for a long time, so I'd always hear stories of him from my friend. When I'd pick up bass Lulay's I'd pick up a copy for my friend, so he has several Lulay's on his fridge (he's not a hardcore card clector).

I grabbed this when I saw it - one of his best cards and serial numbered 13/14 (username checks out) I'll grab 13s over other numbers....
