For those who are receiving theirs, does Luis Diaz, Darwin Nunez, Youssef En-Nesyri, etc all have RC stamps? Seems most of the best rookies can at best be claimed as "1st Topps" cards

Mine came from the UK site. There was just no indication that they shipped it. Today the site still shows processing with no tracking information even though I have them in hand.

Got mine yesterday. Overall a fun rip, although there were some damage issues to the extent that I had to throw several cards away immediately. Corner damage and machine damage on the face. Several even had some dirt or outside material embedded on the card which was annoying.

2 boxes and autos were Kroos /49 and Jesus Navas /49. Other hits were Pedri /99, Drogba /99, Azpi /99, and Daniel Maldini /49. 2 Gavi, 1 Jonathan David. Lots of Liverpool and USA base for the PC.

Odd collation. I'm not even close to a full base set, but hit 3 and even 4 of several cards.

Autos from my first 3 boxes along with bigger names with the RC symbol. I haven't checked to see if there is a complete base set, I think I have all captains and "retro art" but am short 2 legends and 2 actions. The actions look good especially the parallels. The retro art are pretty poor - they should have been foil and much more limited, pointless being paper only and multiple per box.

Agreed on the art - they are far more bland than I expected. They don't pop at all.

I also don't care for the look of the Captain cards. Plus those are the ones where I found the most damage. I somehow got 4 Fernandinho Captain cards but at least 1 is severely creased.

The action ice are pretty attractive though. In my 2 boxes I got Messi, Ronaldo, Salah, Fati x4, and more.

Second lot of 3 boxes was better. The checklist doesn't explicitly mention autograph versions of the Action cards but they appear to be out there. I guess a lot of the bigger names with autos will actually be Action ones as they don't have a base but are listed as having autos. I think that applies to everyone the "current stars" section on the auto checklist from KDB to Szobo.

Having ripped mine and seen other boxes, yeah, this sort of sucked. The quality was poor, the photoshop bollocks, and fhe saving grace - the action cards - look like they're mis-printed as they are so dark. Not worth the wait at all and nowhere near as good as Merlin 95. Oh, the triangle L 'fake' Messi autos too.

Per Topps, Merlin Heritage '98 is now on tap, as you'd expect. Hopefully earlier release date this season, vs January last season.

I'm curious, what's the history of that set year in terms of popularity?

Well, if it's based on Merlin Premier League Gold 98, then it's going to have some Stadium Club vibes. If it's based on the stickers, we're going to get pretty much the same as last year.
