I liked it; didn’t love it like I did with the Trilogy.

Pattinson’s Batman was better than I expected.

I agree with the ending. I could have done without the last 30 minutes. It was by far the worst part of the movie IMO.

I finally watched this film a few days ago. What a terrible film all the way around. What makes it worse was that they dragged it out for 3 long hours.

The Riddler was just plain awful. Horribly casted and written. The costume was a joke.

The Penguin was ridiculous as well. The whole italian mobster background was just obnoxious.

Catwoman was the worst of the three. It is no fault of the actress. Her role was written almost as if they took some CW script writers and had them write dialogue. You have 3 long hours to build chemistry with her and the Batman and instead you take 1 single minute and ship them without any reason. Simply atrocious writing.

and then there is Chief Gordon who seems completely emotionless throughout the entirety of this film. Whether the entire city is flowing and people are dying everywhere or he's having a simple conversation with Batman he just there. The most one dimensional character in a one dimensional movie.

I will say Robert Pattinson was solid. It was not his fault the film was bad. John Turturro was good as the mob boss as well. The movie had potential as the first 30 minutes was a solid introduction but then it just collapsed.

I thought it was great. Liked the recluse aspect, the Wayne-Arkham history, the kick@as car, the cast (Collin Farrell is unrecognizable.) I thought The Riddler was excellent. Really liked the dark feel of Gotham, and the movie in general.
Comparisons to the Nolan-verse are tough, as they set the bar pretty high, but this film is better than all but one of the non-Nolan Batman films IMO. (The original with Keaton)

Too bad we don’t get a Batman Begins style card set from Topps, with autos.
I know about the Hro set, not sure if I am interested in that yet.

They are running out of ways to make a Batman movie. And lacks the appeal of a character like Spider-man that you can reboot every 5 years.

I finally saw it. It was ok. I liked a lot of it…Batman the detective was great to see. People forget DC is “Detective Comics” and Batman is supposed to be the ultimate detective. Lately writers just focus on his ninja fighting skills and his toys so it was nice to see this approach. Colin Ferrell (who tends to ruin a lot of movies he’s in) was awesome as Penguin. The Batmobile was as it was originally intended…a real car that was customized and not some tank. The obvious connections to Batman Year One comic and the nods to Batman of the past. Turturo was great. Gotham was well represented.

But I also disliked a lot of it…I felt Batman walked around like a guy in a costume too much. He should be a little more mysterious. Sometimes it felt like I was watching some guy doing cosplay on a bad YouTube video (especially the scene where he jumps off the building). Pattison’s Bruce Wayne looked a lot like the Gotham High Bruce and I also didn’t care for the emo look everyone mentioned. I thought Pattison looked too small to be Batman. Dude needs to bulk up a little more. Catwoman wasn’t good. She lacked presence and style that her predecessors possessed. I really disliked the Joker. I disliked that this was disconnected from the DC Movie universe.

I would have really liked to have seen the Affleck Batman movie.

Overall it was solid. Not my favorite movie of him but still always fun to see Batman.
