Yeah, it's definitely confusing, lol. I was just going off of what the Series 2 mega box says - not sure why they changed the terminology from series 1.

Express order back on these knights, just wanted a couple slabbed. Gut tells me one of these would've 8'd in bulk, but I'm obv too impatient.

Holo is a slightly harder crimp/crease back bottom right, shards is white chipping on bottom edge (for anyone subbing and needing reference).

Guess they could be 6's so we'll take it lol.

Beautiful cards, and yes, that crimping is a killer. Still nice to have them slabbed/protected. PSA has a few of my Legendary Optichromes right now, so my fingers are crossed.

Wow. Leave it to Panini to confuse tf out of us lol maybe they made the hard pivot because we’ll call them ice anyway.

And keep us posted on the others!! I grabbed a few IQ holos so far...optichrome feels like it's overshadowing holos so think around 50-65 those felt like a no brainer out of the gate. Only Series 2 stuff so far.

Appreciate it sir. Checking my purchases sheet think I have three shards, four holo then that one I just pulled makes five. Shards I grabbed for 708 in August, 559 then 400 both in Sept.

If I recall correctly the two I have out in bulk aren't anything special and one looks like a 6 year old took a plastic (or real) knife to the back of it lol. Also think that's my USA one so that could be a 5er

These came back in my first econ order. Went 7/37 10's which felt phenomenal with many of them being Italy. These are both USA, no crimps but both have one or two slightly white back bottoms. These actually feel pretty solid for the grade as the only near immaculate base I've seen were ones out of that last mega batch, and I think just the Arachne and Drift base were the only two legendary to not have a crimp on the back. So frustrating but I think I secretly like the added chase of condition knowing what we have to work with.

Hiya boys
If someone told me 6 months ago i'd be chasing Fortnite cards, then i would have said they have lost the plot...fast forward and i'm here communicating with you.
Three weeks ago a friend told me about Fortnite cards and the chase for the black knight crystal shard.i was fortunate to find and buy 6 series 1 mega boxes last week, which i'm stashing away in case this stuff ever seriously blows up.
Just wondering what your opinions are of series 2....will it gain momentum...will it be as popular and what are the chase characters from this set.
thanks

I enjoy collecting these cards, but I have no idea on long term value. There is obviously a large population of kids (and adults) who play the game, watch Twitch streams/Youtube clips, do the dances, etc...

Nostalgia is a strong drug, so who knows what the market will be in the future. I'm currently chasing Ultima Knight, Ice King, and Ice Queen from Series 2, but I'd be happy to pull any Legendary skin Optichrome or cracked ice right now.

+1 I have never played, never will bc I can't dedicate a lot of time to it to hang, but once you get acclimated with the characters esp the higher #d ones it's fun deciding who you prefer and want to add on top of the priorities.

I recently started purchasing some boxes of these (never thought that would happen!). I know I'm late to the game but all good.

My number one pet peeve... why does Panini use two types of clear wrap on the boxes? Some have panini logos and some look like anyone could re shrink wrap. Pretty annoying that they didn't use the panini logos for everything.

Check the backs. The Italian megs I had were clear plastic and back was just straight Italian lol. If you’re buying loose boxes, Panini wrap could be US clear could be Italy.

Does that change anything about the cards/contents or are they all the same?

Found a place selling Fortnite Series 1 blasters for $20 and thinking of going for it.

I checked a few stores yesterday in hopes of finding Prizm Football and settled with a mega box of Fortnite Series 2. Today I checked a different store and still no Prizm, but I picked up a blaster of Fortnite.

The mega box advertises "+2 rare bonus cards" which were cracked ice and the blaster advertises "+1 rare bonus card" so I was expecting that to be a cracked ice card too, but to my disappointment it was just an epic base card. Anyone know if that's what it always is? Or do some boxes have legendary base cards as the bonus?

Here are the highlights from those two boxes:

- Zenith base (Legendary)
- Zero base (Legendary)
- Cutiepie holofoil (Rare)
- Mecha Team Leader holofoil (Epic)
- Gan cracked ice (Rare)
- Bunker Jonesy cracked ice (Epic)
- Stingray optichrome (Rare)

I'm probably going to go back to the store that had mega boxes and try to get two more tomorrow if they still have any. That seems like the best format by far. The hobby boxes have the same odds per pack and don't have anything extra, right?

My blaster bonus cards have always been Epic base cards, but I'm not sure if this is the same with all blasters.

It was a decent break, definitely better than a couple of megas that I've opened lol. The chase is for holofoil, optichrome, or cracked ice parallels of Legendary cards.

Personally, I like the look of cracked ice Legendary cards the best (they're called crystal shards in Series 1), but Legendary optichromes have been going for decent prices on Ebay, as well.

I finally got my first optichrome in. 193 Eon? Seems like the jabroni of the 190s. Have an ice queen coming in soon which I think ran me 130. Prior to that I grabbed a few IQ holos for 50-65 ea. Idk...the chrome aspect is cool but I think they are too similar to the holo, and feel like it undervalues the holo esp with it being a Series 1 staple. Would've preferred similar stock to the holo and cracked ice and maybe they just introduce a 4th parallel. That or I'm way overthinking it.

Hey everyone, I recently opened a Series 1 Mega Blaster that I had been sitting on. Wasnt quite sure what to expect, but needless to say I pulled the Crystal Shard Black Knight. Theres not a whole lot of info online about the card that I could find, but the prices on ebay led me to send it in for express grading. I figured I would post about it here and share the grade!

Holy f*ck. I'm pretty sure I have 20 of these in this case and this is not what I needed to see with my already weak struggle of keeping stuff sealed lol.

Not only pulling it, but 10'ing it is absolutely incredible. I see it on the bay and like the play...this is one where you better get absolutely silly $ now if you move bc you never know what this is going to be 10 years from now.

Does anyone know roughly how many 2019 Black Knight Crystal Shards were produced? I’m trying to get a feel for how rare they are. Thanks.
