Chris Sale...just think he would have ripped up those jerseys with his bare hands instead of using scissors.

Oil Can Boyd comes to mind too....with steroids he might have broken through the 150-pound barrier.

I guess. I watched some Mcgwire games live in 98 when he was chasing the record. And it was damn exciting. But looking back it seems empty and hollow. Part of the romanticism of baseball was being able to look back and compare players from different eras. If you let players do steroids legally that aspect of the game is completely gone. It's also parallels one of the reasons I don't like watching football. Because you're cheering for someone who is going to have a horrible life outside of the game. Maybe steroids affect you less long term than playing football. But I'd still feel weird cheering for people who are doing something who will make their long term health worse.

Also bet 50% of the players mentioned took steriods. At least 25% percent. Bo Jackson ha ha ha. Steroids was/is not a substance that automatically makes you be healthy.

Mickey Mantle. Maybe he could have avoided or come back from some of his injuries faster and better. Even just legal modern medical technology and nutrition would have helped him tremendously. And a less self-destructive attitude.

Yeah, I'm not even sure how you would make steroids legal for ball players when they're illegal for everyone else. You could have doctors prescribe them, but you'd need someone like Dr. Nick from the Simpsons.

To think about the catchers that he would have destroyed storming home...

Intersting topic.

Ok, for me it'd be Stanton, imagine him on PED's he'd be 6'6 250 pounds and crush balls at high velocity but down side would be the dead give away of being lean as well, getting bigger and add muscle at older ages and injury prone... oh wait.

If Darryl Strawberry picked steroids over cocaine, we would have seen an all time great.

to decide who I wished took steroids I would first have to know for a fact who didn't use steroids. That's the dilemma. A question that is impossible to answer
