Thanks for the thorough analysis. Hope this thread can raise attention to Panini America
Haha, na man. Not your fault at all.

Imo there's no chance Panini has NOT seen this thread already.

This is just so sad. It's pretty clear he isn't signing his cards. Something should be done about this. I want to believe it's not true but the evidence is too strong. Panini really needs to look into this.

I don't know if these Super Break signatures should also be used as evidence that the panini cards from 2013-present are abnormal but Shaq was even filmed signing these pieces and the signatures are consistent with older sample autos but not the newest ones:

So Shaq/Kobe still don't have a on card autograph together

Thank goodness for the acetate manufacturing defect or I would be the proud owner of one of these. Price have softened up quite a bit since the release.

I tweeted Panini and Shaq. Questioned why the autos are different for panini and included the pic by shaqer. I doubt anyone will answer but I threw it out there.

I for one will be boycotting anything that looks like the not so shaq autos.

My wife was saying she would never collect shaq after this. Lol. but then again she isn't a collector. Lol

Man, I'm glad KG's auto has had this much scrutiny. He's had about 20 different versions!!

Is it just me, or do these 2001-02 Bowman's Best autos look suspicious as well? No vertical stroke to the right of the "S."

Wonder what Panini would have to do if it was somehow proven 100% without a doubt that Shaq didn't sign the cards. Just pass the buck (to Shaq)?

They might address him in private or go out of their way to avoid the issue. At most, they'll bring him in house for one signing and show off all of the pictures on their Instagram.

Nah, that one is good. The strokes looks consistent with the authentic ones.

To me, the closing loop of the "S" and the extra "^" in the next stroke of the current Panini sig are really different from the other sigs.

Exactly this. I can't see them handling it any other way, and that's IF they even address it.

I will be very surprised if Panini does anything about it. They'll sell the exact same amount of product whether he signs or someone else does for him.

If it doesn't impact their bottom line they don't care

Tweet your suspicions to Beckett, SCD, Darren Rovell, etc. because that's the kind of attention they would find harder to ignore.

Though KG has had many auto variations, I think the stroke on them have been consistent, parts that remain the same look the same, and the variations are consistent for the time period they were signed in. Same with Kobe and D Wade. LeBron on the other hand has had completely different strokes in his autographs, but at least the variations are consistent for the time period; have not dug deeper in to his autos though.

Super break most likely signed by Shaq himself IMHO

Pretty much yeah...paid lots of money for cards signed by others than Shaq on Shaa Cards...

That is true, it's just maybe 0.5% of all their autographed cards or even less, it won't hurt their already "not-good" reputation at all...

I have an auto from his earlier years that resembles the newer panini signatures much more than the standard "S" "H" you usually see him sign. Back in the day he used to sign the full Shaq O'Neal. I hope this isn't true,

It was just posted on instagram few hour ago, was it Sports Kings product? If you zoom at the autographed card, it looked like the auto was quite consistent with early Panini autographs

The photo was actually taken a few years ago. Those Shaq cards are for Sportkings Series F in 2013 if my memories serve. Cristiano Ronaldo (football/soccer star from Real Madrid) had also signed on for that product.

Yes it was from that Sports Kings series, I recognize the card. The thing is, I was pointing that Shaq's Autographs on thise Sport Kings series was pretty consistent with early Panini autographs....
