You aren't getting the definition of true rookie here. It's not a market designation, it's a card designation. Tatis has no true rookies in Update, he only has a Rookie Debut. Guerrero has a true rookie(US1) and a Rookie Debut.

Thanks man Im biased but love it too. Huge pull for me in 2019 when I really got back into collecting. When I pulled it he was player "A"....."B" turned out to be Eloy

Never considered the auto itself, just having it. With that being said I remember reading how so many are streaky of it. Wish his name was legible though!

I’m curious to get people’s thoughts on this card. No, it’s not an official RC. But the equivalent Acuna from ‘18 became a huge a deal. I got the sense that the photo had a lot to do with its popularity—which I imagine is why the Tatis hasn’t grown as popular. This Vlad pic, much like the Acuna, makes for a pretty cool and unique baseball card.

I bought a few of them, but I’m not exactly trying to pump the card. It just hasn’t come up much, it at all, in this thread. So I’m curious to know if it moves the needle all that much.

I used to dislike the US1 & TCU 21 image but it has grown on me. Still a much bigger fan on TC 201 image but US1 & TCU 21 will definitely have its time to shine.

The main thing for me is what came out first I’d say. Although I do prefer a batting over fielding image
