Hey guys I started an online store on shopify and was wondering if anyone else has incorporated their thrift/vintage pick ups into a shopify dropshipping acct.? I was hoping for some pointers as I haven't used my google adwords promotion and have been waiting for it to gain a little more traction to start setting it up.

I bought a large lot at a local auction. Mix of hats and posters with some apparel. Part of the lot was two vintage Nike Posters of Dale Murphy and Ryne Sandberg. Super rare and while they're not in the best condition I should still get $75 to $125 for them. Some of the music poster were crazy, The Knack? after googling I knew there best song but never heard of them.

I purchased a big lot of old record store promo posters from the 80's at the estate sale of the owners of the (long closed) record store. I wouldn't say they are quick sellers, but I have sold a bunch of them and sell one every few weeks on average I guess.

They don't sell fast, but every time I sell one, I just about triple what I paid for the entire lot.

I found two Buffalo Bills ones at a local thrift a year or two back (Super Bowl XXVI was held in MPLS at the Metrodome, so these would have been hats that would have been given to players after a winning the Super Bowl, or sold locally after the bowl). There was a white one and a black one, both Zubaz (Ugly as F I must say haha). Bought both for 2.99 each, sold them for $60-75 each.

Sweet. Nice job on the sale. I saw these and was like....wait a minute....Bills never won a Super Bowl and Broncos didn't win until XXXII.

There definitely is for movie and music events but I have not really noticed any player posters worth much value

There is still a great market for sports or "player" posters. Nike and Costacos particularly.

So I just got my bootleg Tommy Hilfiger sweatshirt taken down by eBay due to trademark violations, but there still is 161 other bootleg listings up of Tommy Hilfiger, anybody have any idea what that's about? I've sold bootleg Tommy in the past with no problems.

I would guess a past buyer of yours was upset he got a bootleg and reported a listing as retaliation. I say this not in judgement of you...but it was almost surely specifically reported... eBay can ignore what isn't reported, bit will get busted if they ignore reported forgeries/bootlegs

I appreciate the info. The funny thing is, after checking, the listing remains up and was never taken down by eBay even after receiving the message it was pulled. Weird.

But I do think you're right, not about the bootleg part as I try to list as accurate as possible, but a retaliatory report. I went on a blocking spree this past week after a few NPB's and a few others who just couldn't grasp I didn't want to accept their $4 offers.

Passed on this today for $14.99. It was an original Jimmy John's sign that use to hang in their stores. Thoughts? I see some of the stuff sells well, but not sure if it's because of Nascar.

I would be interested to hear how it all goes with the website.

I tried this a few years back specific to my sports cards - I ended up doing OK but it was difficult and time consuming to try and drive traffic to my site. Sales were decent as long as I stayed active on all message boards, facebook, twitter, etc but dropped immediately if I was away or unable to push out marketing.

Good luck!

It's probably less marketed as a Jimmy John's sign and more of something someone might want to frame and put in their kitchen. Still put JJ in the title but also keywords for kitchen decor/cooking.

I'd probably go $50 on it, not sure it it will move but I'd need that mich to deal with the pain of shipping it. So it was a good pass. The big dollar JJ signs seem to be the metal ones. Which makes sense.

My biggest issue has been marketing. I haven't had much luck with Facebook ads. I need to set up a SEO. I had some success when the shirts were getting worn on Viceland but thats just as you mentioned. Out of sight/ out of mind. I plan on running some more instagram marketing via collaborations.
