I have mentioned this before. Encased is the only licensed RC of Mahomes with an inscription. It was undervalued imo. I picked up two Encased Gold/10 recently even though I already had a /25

Horizontal Encased Rookie Endorsements Gold/10 BGS 9/Auto 10 (Inscription @chiefskingdom)was $1700 with taxes. I bought it just at the beginning of the recent run up before the seller updated his BIN. The inscription doesn’t make up for the fact that it isn’t a true rookie card. The rookie cap swatches are the ones with the rookie emblem and are part of the numbered set. It’s interesting that panini chose the cap swatch rpa as the true rookie auto for encased. Maybe its just me, but the hat swatch cards feel a little cheezy to me. Panini keeping us on our toes, trying to not let stigma stick. Personally, I am shocked that the encased 1/1 went for 25k given that it isnt a true rookie. The auto is on card, but dang... I guess that is a good sign overall.

I dont think ive ever seen a prizm with a perfectly centered back. Even with a bgs 10 centering grade. Ive always figured that the back was designed to be a little off. Idk....edit....the front of the prizm looks bad too, but ive seen worse centering for prizm psa 10’s

The last raw one went for half that a few days ago. I think people are trusting pwcc’s allusion to it being in mint or better shape. I think the optic white sparkles look way better than the prizm white sparkles, but i wouldn’t have paid even 3k for the one sold tonight. Yeah, there is a reason its not graded. But then again, if the buyer doesnt think it will gem, they can just return it.

Same. Of all the ones with perfectly centered fronts, I can’t recall any of the backs being perfectly centered. The front in mine is really good but the back is definitely off.

And the centering on the back always corresponds with the centering on the front. Ok now im almost positive that the design on the back isnt intended to be centered perfectly

Onward and upward. Whoever owns the psa 10 gold xrc is a fortunate person. Does anybody know if the black 1/1 has seen the daylight? The redemption cards expired in 2018, so i can only imagine how many sit in unopened packs.

If I told you an Ichiro Suzuki card that they made 1,300+ pieces of just 8 weeks ago and charged $15 for, is now selling for $4500, would you believe it? Well it's true. Multiple units sold at $4k plus in the last 48 hours. There is going to be a ton of new wealthy people from P2020; they may just need some football cards to put that money into.

I mentioned this before, look at Lebron's 2003 SP Inkredible Inscriptions which is his only inscribed rookie year card. It is not considered his top 5 autographed RC's but it still sells for a huge premium due to the inscription. Collectors pay premium to own rare/unique cards and market sales have shown that time and again. Encased inscription auto does not have a RC logo/emblem as you mentioned but so does the Donruss Optic rated rookies. Encased inscription autos have the word rookie notable signatures and rookie endorsements printed on the card and the grading label I grabbed the /25 last year for $500 and the two Gold/10 for $1700 and $2550 recently, which is less than what Prizm #269 PSA 10's are currently selling for.
