I had no need to block anyone, some members took care of this by being asked not to post in the off-topic forum.

I blocked one guy because he was a nut case. chitownbears22, but he's been banned recently due to some sort of shadyness. So I guess my initial feeling about the person was correct.

Voted.

As a Texan, the Electoral College is going to give my vote to Trump no matter who I selected. So I voted my conscience and went Third Party.

If, come 2020, there are more than two serious options - you're all welcome.

I think the biggest thing to remember is that the real work starts now.

This election was busted from the start with Democrats intentionally colluding to screw Sanders and his supporters and the GOP never getting its act together enough to put forward a legitimate candidate.

Whining and undermining the 2016-2020 president will do nothing to help the country. Actively working over these never four years to reform the system and increase transparency and accountability will help the country.

So to my "conspiracy theory" friends in this thread, I don't think the undercover "damning" videos will do anything constructive for this election.......but I would be absolutely glad to partner with any of you and like-minded individuals over these next few years to bring about a reformed 2020 election cycle.

I'm looking forward to the GOP autopsy v2. Clearly they learned nothing in 2012, which gave rise to Godzilla aka Trump.

They want to bring the country back to the 1950s which is unrealistic. Globalization, changing demographics, culture etc. are all evolving at a pace they couldn't imagine and the party will have to adapt to remain relevant rather than be an extremist fringe.

I'm debating third party as well, because like you, my state was Republican no matter what. Now for the other part, what do you propose we do to accomplish this in the next four years? Also, I will go on the warpath if the 2nd Amendment is tampered with. Just saying.

Hopefully this mindset doesn't set in too much or the Dems may lose some states they don't think they well. Well that is unless you are a GOP voter and think it's in the bag...Then keep on keeping on.

I'm still looking in to that part. Referendums could be a good start. Rolling back Citizens United would also help. Perhaps the biggest change, short of pushing for an amendment abolishing the Electoral College, would be to shift to Single Transferable Vote.

YouTube - Single Transferable Vote

STV Voting eliminates the "lesser of two evils" conundrum US voters face because instead of picking one single candidate, voters simply rank the available candidates. The candidates with the fewest votes are eliminated first and the votes for them transferred to those voters second choice. Then third and so on until one candidate has a majority of votes.

Thus conservatives could vote for a Constitutional Party candidate first, a Libertarian candidate second, Trump third, and so on. Thus making sure their vote went to Trump before it could ever go to Hillary and allowing them to vote their conscience.

Wouldn't that just reinforce the two party system we already have? Those running against would essentially just be campaigning for the GOP or DNC candidate because they will likely have the majority in the end.

It would reinforce whichever candidate best represented the majority of the country.

Interesting, I'll have to read more about it. It's clear after this election that something needs to change.

I am a GOP voter, but will actually be voting for a Democrat Ryan Greene over Liz Cheney (Virginian masquerading as a Wyoming citizen). I can't believe that the Republican party would toss Trump under the bus. At least the Democratic party can roll with the punches and look the other way in regards to selling out Bernie. Anyway, Wyoming will vote Republican no matter what, so I may as well make my vote count in other ways.

It's funny, she comes on the show, is a blabbering idiot and suggests O'Reilly isn't balanced. Then you look at her authorship at WaPo ...

https://www.washingtonpost.com/people/jennifer-rubin/

You could likely go 600 pages without finding a single anti Hillary or pro-Trump piece. It still hurts my head thinking about how people take WaPo seriously as a "news source".

She goes out of her way to praise Clinton in every article, and denounce Trump, denounce republicans, denounce policy ideas. It's crazy. The media.

It's hard not to laugh when Sheriff Clarke mean mugs the camera and refers to Hiliary as "Mrs. Bill Clinton". What does everyone think of this character? Just a puppet to push an agenda? Or voice of reason?

Some of his ideas are fine with me. He loses credibility when he insults others.
