I requested a shipment on 3/11. After a month and a half wait, I decided to email on Monday in hopes of hearing some sort of response. I received an email back today saying that one of the cards in my shipment was hanging up the entire order due to a "warehouse error." Any ideas what that would be? Misplaced? Damaged? Sold twice? The email said I would be credited back the purchase price, but it's a card that hardly ever pops up. I'm pretty frustrated about the situation. I guess it was worth reaching out though because an hour later I got the email that my order had shipped.

Does anyone know if COMC user 'Superbreak' has an account on blowoutcards forum? I am not sure if they are affiliated with the company super break.

What is the new minimum sale prices everyone is using to try to determine if it’s worth sending a card in to COMC with the new fee structure?

Yep, definitely a dollar and up to make the cut for basic submissions.

And if I want faster service - $5 and up for 3-week service.

I'm at a minimum of $1 right now, $1.25 for vintage. Mainly due to last year's extra quarter embedded on eBay purchases, not as much because of the 35 cent thing. Oddball stuff I sell in I normally price at least $2.50 and rarely reduce, so the 50 cents submission costs doesn't hurt me too much there. Oddball is more price inelastic and is more about finding the right buyer/collector.

Thanks for the quick reply. I was also looking at $1 for my minimum.

As others have mentioned, I think that is a pretty solid benchmark.

At times I do include items that will go closer to the $0.70-$0.80 range if it's a star/HOF type player and there are lots of sales. Jordan, Jeter, Griffey, etc - certainly not across the board but sometimes it makes sense.

You want to front load your first batches with cards which are likely to sell for $5, $10, $20 or so, up to the point where you're comfortable. Be aware that they charge additional storage fees for cards priced $50 and up.

For the early batches, ideally, you want to recoup your processing fees relatively quickly. A card which sells for $1.11 (base price) will yield about $1.05, which will pay for the processing of 3 other cards. A card which sells for $11.11 will yield about $10.50, and will process 30 other cards.

True Story, I wonder how much money they lose because of this issue on a regular basis.

I got it to load enough to check on sales, took probably ten minutes just to get there.

I don't understand how their site always seems to be down during low traffic hours.

Me neither, been slow for a few days but now it's just non-responsive. If this is a denial of service (DoS) attack, then COMC needs to figure it out. There are ways to marginalize DoS attacks, but it costs money and IT resources.

I can access the site from my phone but not from my laptop. I know they've said no repeatedly but I would love if they would create an app. Push notifications for offers, etc, like on Ebay would be awesome.

There's like a 95% chance that the app would go down just as frequently as the website

When they updated the website years ago, making the move from "check out my cards" to "COMC", they made the website scalable and viewable on any device, therefore making an app redundant.

Besides, they don't have the money/resources to put towards building and maintaining an app...it would be another project that starts strong and slowly fades away - while that is their SOP, it's too big a project even for them to attempt.

It has been like this since last night at around midnight pacific time. It was probably crashed by everybody trying to buy Lebron cards.

I have just got back into buying on comc.... Not sure about some of the fees but its still a great place to buy oc cards.

In the past I would buy low end cards to flip but it seems like that isnt feasible with the new few structure?? idk I'm confident my "2.50" cards would bring 5-7... But if it cost that $2 to relist its a wash.

The new deal may be $50 cards that will pull 70 -100.

Say what you want but even if the fees went up comc is awesome to me. My pc grows daily and for not alott of monies. Get a great shipment once a year and try to think "what did that one run me?"

Not sure what you're talking about. The $2 fee is only to change the price of a card from under $100 to above $100. There might have been a few people who got it accidentally, but COMC should fix the glitch and refund them.

This downtime is bad. I am not sure it has been this long in awhile. At least not for me. It has been all morning. I usually only have small periods of not being able to get on. Frustrating to say the least.
