If someone drops say player X they go on a one day waiver period and there is a waiver order of all of our teams. If you are #1 on waivers you will get the player if you try to add him. If you do get the player you now become number 10 on the waiver order list.

If you are number 2 on the list and number 1 does not claim player X you then get him and move to position 10 now if you try and pick him up.

Waiver order means what place you are in to pick up a dropped player. If your waiver order is 1, then you have the first shot at any dropped player. Once you pick up a player off of waivers, then you go to #12 and work your way back up the list.

Once a player is dropped, they are on "waivers" for a certain # of days. Anyone can make a waiver claim, but if multiple people try to grab him, the person with the lowest waiver number gets him. If no one grabs him off of waivers, then he is a free agent and anyone can grab him.

Lineup locks daily once they start their game. You can change your lineup each day.

I'm definitely in favor of a limit to weekly moves. Both to stop what you are saying above, and similar issues on offense. I also see what you're saying above, but it's not really realistic.

There are 12 teams, and we will each have 5-8 SP's. Call it 7 each. That's 84 starters (presumably the 84 best starters in baseball). That's more than 1/2 the starters in baseball. That means, on any given day, there might be 7 or 8 available starting pitchers. So, if you were the only person doing it, you might be able to pull that off, but you would be stuck with the 7 or 8 worst available starters everyday. And, if we all saw you doing it, we might all start rotating one starter, and then that would stop pretty much immediately.

Agreed. Someone said 2/week. That would probably work. 2 or 3. But yeah, unlimited moves could be messy.
