I dropped off my first and only card with PSA the last day of the National on August 4. It's a BGS 9.5 crossover attempt, using the 20-day option. The online order tracker says it was received August 10. I'm not sure why the discrepancy.

A dealer at the show told me if I got lucky, maybe they'd grade and slab the card for me right then and there. Is that true?

Also, what does it mean to pop? Do they tell you the results online before you get your cards back in the mail?

Received date is the date they processed it into their system... that is when the 20-day window starts.

That dealer is a bafoon...

Pop is when the grades pop up on the website. Yes, you can see what it finished as before you get the cards back in the mail. When it "pops", there will be a green check mark next to the order number. You can then click that order number and see your result(s).

Sure, its as true as anything. Like if you got lucky, someone would randomly walk up to you and hand you a million dollars.

Yes, pop is when your order is finished grading and the results are available online to view before they are shipped.

PSA 10 minimum put on the Atomic, PSA 7 minimum put on the auto card. My last two crossovers I went 2 for 2, so hoping these will do well also.

PSA charged my credit just now and there's a green checkmark next to my lone card. It says processing but I thought the green checkmark meant it had popped. It says:

1 1 MG: MINIMUM GRADE 1986 Topps Traded Tiffany 11T Barry Bonds Card

Does that mean I achieved my MG crossover of PSA 10 or it just means my instructions are logged?

It means that it didn't meet the minimum grade.

yea whenever the credit card is charged, it means services were rendered and the order is complete. yours didn't meet min grade requirements so they will ship It back in its original holder, untouched.

I believe it was all 9.5 except surface, which was 9.

6/16/18 is my longest wait so far. Longest wait I've ever had but still well within the 65 day.

120 for me...and just realized I didn’t mark the box with the service level on my latest sub...should be logged sometime after Christmas I would imagine...

Looks like logging them in is backing up again. My last shipment (100 cards) was received 8/22, still not logged.

The 2 prior (also 100 cards) only took 2 days.

Probably because they got the word out to the masses about the price jump coming in September. Everyone (including myself) scrambled to get an order out to save what amounted to about $100--(which isn't something to scoff at). Shoot, I even got an email from them about the upcoming price hike, so I'm sure they will be slammed for the next several days while those orders come in.

Getting the word out about the price increase kind of forced me in to throwing in a few extra cards that I wouldn't normally grade, but I wonder if this will enable them to run "better" monthly specials--like with the old rates? Right now they need to come up with reasons for people to pay for memberships, because the "deals" haven't really been too enticing (probably by design since they're slammed).

On business days 31 and 27, of 65, of my 2 current bulks subs at PSA... and still, check at least a couple times a day hoping to be one of the lucky few with a quicker than expected turn-around!

Gonna be busy tonight and tomorrow morning... prepping another 250-300 cards to go out before the price jump!

Sadly, I'm guessing the opportunity for more monthly specials for modern cards, as they've stated, will be the occasional $7.00 or $7.50 at a reduced minimum (maybe 25 or 50). Which, honestly, is still high... but in a few months, will look like a bargain compared to the new higher rates that everyone will, just be used to!

Same here. Waiting on a couple of maildays to add to my next order. Currently have 99 cards ready to go and about 20 incoming for me to look at. Will get it done just in time.
